The invasion apologia is pathetic.

NATO military equipment and training invasionof Ukraine, Ukrainian Govt's invasion of Russian speaking Ukrainian's democratic and human rights per multiple EU official states or Russian's military invasion in Feb 2022 in response to the above and more?

What a ridiculously comment!

NATO military equipment and trainers didn’t invade Ukraine.

Ukraine didn’t invade Donbas because it’s Ukraine!

Russia did infiltrate Donbas and try to create unrest from 2014 and then did invade Ukraine in Feb 2022.

No matter how you try to spin this the fact remains RUSSIA INVADED UKRAINE and has/is committing multiple war crimes. At the start of this Russia supposedly had the second most powerful military in the world, has a land mass over 2000% larger than Ukraine, has at least 3 times the military personal than Ukraine around Bakhmut and hasn’t been able to take it in almost 10 months, and is into the second year of a 3 day “special military operation” without achieving any (as in ZERO) of it’s the stated goals, and has had an arrest warrant for war crimes issued against its leader. Now that’s pathetic!

These are obviously two unrelated statements.

Funny how they failed miserably when the tried to take Kiev in 2022....

You think 30000 soldiers, the number they had near Kiev according to Western sources, can take a city of 3mil armed to the teeth? I think you severely overestimate Russian soldiers. They are men, not superheros from a Marvel movie.

Actually it was Putin that seems to have made the severe overestimate!

By all accounts Ukraine is losing more, so it seems it is Ukraine in the worse situation.

Even the most pro Ukraine says Russia is out firing Ukraine by a minimum 3 times, lost far few tanks and artillery.

So your point would be better told to Ukraine.

This would be true except…

1) your estimates are incorrect

2) Russia is the invader

3) Ukraine is defending

4) In the 13th month of Russia’s 3 day “special operation” they have achieved NONE of Putin’s objectives

5) Social unrest against the war is increasing in Russia

and, again

6) your estimates are incorrect

I think I’ll stay with my original advice and suggest Putin would be wise to cut his losses and run. That might give him enough time to try and devise a plan to on avoiding windows around the 7th floor of talk buildings!

… infantry and artillery are what is needed in this war and obviously Russia has a lot of both

They have less and less of both every day! If Putin was smart he would cut his losses and run…

That might not help him much but it would certainly save a lot of lives!

More money, more planes, more tanks.

Yes, that and anything else Ukraine needs to defend against and drive out the invaders!

It is rather amusing though how the pro-invasion group seems to get their panties in a bunch over allies giving support to the defenders. To stop that all Putin has to do is admit his mistake and get out of Ukraine. Russia leaves and the killing stops, but Putin’s ego won’t let him even negotiate let alone admit defeat (yet!).

When / if the bullets ever start flying, hopefully McCarthy won’t pull back as he has done somewhat with Ukraine.

Considering the proximity…

I’m wondering what this “proximity” is… Do mean proximity to Japan? Since Ukraine is close to the mainland US than Taiwan, by several thousand km, I wonder what your point is here?

we read here everyday about war.

why nobody is taking about peace?

I talk about peace everyday and all it would take is Putin to give up on his land grab invasion is pull his troops and peace happens!

everyone talking about weaponizing and support of UA only.

Sorry if your upset that others are offering what they can to support and help Ukraine defend itself from the invaders!

honestly speaking do you believe that UA have power to won over nuclear armed Russia?

Do you honestly believe Russia would risk its own (and possibly others) total inhalation? Even Putin can’t be that stupid.

if yes than you must be veryvery naive than.

To “win” all Ukraine has to do, since they are the defenders, is not loose They have been doing a pretty good job of that I think. On the other hand Putin’s three day “special operation” doesn’t seem to be going to plan now does it?

All those people who have been appalled by Russian stray missiles killing civilians will be cheering this murder ... of a civilian. I know I'll be howled down for saying this, but this is NOT the way to fight a war, Ukraine.

And, Lord D, why do you assume they were “stray” missiles?

Zelensky told Yomiuri that he has no ammo and the offensive can’t start without new “donations”.

Of course this is a misrepresentation of what he actually said but, in any case, the only thing to do is send more ammo as soon as possible.

Not only more ammo but anything that Ukraine needs to push the invaders from their country.

Stopping Putin now will be much cheaper than stopping him later, no matter how much it takes!

Mr K

Fact... Civilians die in war.

Fact.... Fewer civilians have died in this was than in usual conflict.

Fact… The reason civilians are dying in this war is because Russia invaded a peaceful smaller neighbor in a land grab

Fact… If Russia hadn’t invaded they wouldn’t be commuting war crimes and killing innocent civilians

Fact… If Russia goes home the war stops and so do these civilian deaths

Fact… It’s all on Russia

Let's untangle this.

(1) Did NIH fund research at Wuhan Institute of Virology?

(2) Specifically, did NIH fund research of the potential for bat-specific pathogens in nature to jump to humans?

(3) Did that research cause the COVID outbreak?

(4) Did millions of people die of COVID?

So, specifically, which point here do you disagree with?

1) Yes, NIH awarded a research grant to EcoHealth BUT it did not cover “gain-of-function” research

2) No, not specifically

3) There has been NO link between the research and COVID found

4) Yes, but but most leading scientists agree it had nothing to do with EcoHealth’s research

Hummmmm, so what’s your point?

Most Russians now feel they would have been smarter if they had never went for Ukraine!

As the Russian body bags pile up that sentiment grows stronger.

One can only hope Putin ends his misthought imperialist aggression against Ukraine and accepts peace, and defeat, gracefully. And soon!

Ukraine prevails!

There is no hope for Ukraine to prevail through adopting a one sided approach to negotiations

-that is ridiculous and totally illogical

Do you mean the one sided approach of Putin when he says the territory that Russia (illegally) annexed (even though they don’t control it) can be considered as negotiable and that no negotiations can happen while Zelenskyy is president of Ukraine, since Ukraine isn’t a “real” country anyway?

Putin is the one that invaded Ukraine! There should be no negotiations and Russia should just cut their losses, admit invading was a mistake and they were defeated, and get out of Ukraine.

Ukraine in your eyes will be actual winner "forever".

Make it this way.

Let leave facts.

Simple, troubleless and in line with JT narratives.

Actually I don’t know who will be the “winner” in the end, a lot could still happen. I’m just saying that since Putin’s 3-day “Special Military Operation” is now in its 11th month, Russia has realized none of its objectives, they hold less ground today then 11 months ago, and since the Russian forces don’t seem to be very capable they are depending on hired mercenaries, thugs, and criminals of the Wagner group recently. They have sent huge numbers into the grinder to never return. Ukraine didn’t invade Russia and didn’t send their forces anywhere, they are just fighting to protect their country.

Since Russia invaded they have to actually win to be the “winner”, Ukraine simply has to not lose and at this point they certainly are losing so that means they are winning.

With all of that, yes, at this point in time Ukraine is winning in many many ways.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Posted in: Russia strives for first big Ukraine gains in months See in context

it seems that UA forces are "winning" again.

Actually it’s not only on the “pages of JT”. But keep spinning there comrade

do not ever underestimate Russians mates

One of the reasons Ukraine is actually winning, and Russian forces are literally climbing over dead comrades to be part of the meat grinder, seems to be because the Ukrainian military doesn’t underestimate the invaders.

That and they actually target military objectives instead of civilian targets.

This is a massive success for the Russian forces.

I thought your spin was all the fighters in this area were separatists fighting for their “home”? Now you say the fighters are Russian Forces? But in any case it seems you’re still incorrect as it seems they are the hired mercenaries of the Wagner group. There are no Separatists here anymore and the Russian Forces seem to be too incompetent.

But it actually say “A little known” group, as in very small and probably made up of a few crazies.

It also says “supports the widows” as NOT Russian widows but a small group of crazies that latched on to that premise and say they “support” the widows.
