Good on Republicans McCain and Graham for helping to push this through. Something tells me clear proof of Russia's involvement that can be shown to the public is going to appear eventually and Trump is going to look even more like an idiot (if that is possible!).

Obama and Kerry are fed up with Israel because they know the truth about Netanyahu and his arrogant, two-faced behavior. He isn't interested in peace with the Palestinians at all, hence Kerry's speech.

Trump continues to add to the list of reasons showing he is just not cut out for the job of POTUS.

What sort of arrogant idiot tweets, 'Thanks Donald' about himself?

I suppose it would be annoying if the customer has requested a specific delivery window (like 2-4pm) but isn't there at the time. But so what? Are Sagawa employees punished if deliveries aren't made due to customers being out? One would assume not so this guy is definitely in the wrong job.

'The Trump Foundation check arrived just days after Bondi’s office told a newspaper it was reviewing a lawsuit against Trump University filed by Schneiderman. Bondi’s office never sued Trump, though she denies his donation played any role in that decision.'

Yeah, I'm sure that the $25,000 bribe, oh sorry, 'donation' didn't influence her decision.

The only reason Trump would now want to shut down his (not-so-charitable) 'charitable foundation' is to hide its dodgy behavior! Too late Donald!

Good. Netanyahu is a war-loving thug and Obama knows it.

Trump isn't even POTUS yet and he just continues to make a complete fool of himself. I feel sorry for those intelligent Americans who do understand what they've somehow managed to elect.......

Posted in: Continuing battle with media, Trump avoids news conferences See in context

The fact that Trump managed to get elected really shows that the US has lost the plot. The guy is an embarrassment to not only the US but the whole human race. Like it or not the media does influence people's opinions and Trump will get roasted quickly if he continues down this path. Let's just hope that the system of checks and balances minimizes the damage he's going to cause and that common sense prevails in 4 years' time.

Trump 'isn't ready to accept the finding by intelligence officials that Moscow hacked Democratic emails in a bid to elevate Trump.'

Let's hope he starts getting ready to accept it!

What a surprise Trump doesn't want to believe it. If proof turns up and shows that those states with electronic voting systems that Trump won by tiny margins were hacked by Russia, things will get very interesting.

Wrong, Japan was on her last legs anyway. The bombs were unnecessary and most academics agree on this.

No doubt it's much the same with casinos.

But you don't like this particular Pearl Harbor survivor's opinion? The point I meant about school was that Americans are taught to believe that killing tens of thousands of people instantaneously (and the vast majority being civilians) by dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was somehow the right thing to do. I'm glad there are some people in the US who know that such an attack is utterly indefensible and can never be justified no matter how much it is sugar coated.

The fact is that some people with dementia do wander off and can't remember where they live, what their name is etc. so this does seem like a good way to help reduce such cases even if it is tag.

Of course it's natural to think, 'Poor kid' but whether he was caught without a visa at 2 years of age or 5 years of age or 10 or 15, doesn't really matter. In the eyes of the law, he isn't in Japan legally. The decision is tough but correct. His parents know the risks they've been taking for the past 16 years.

Trump should know well that even the president of a company won't last long if he or she does things without listening to his advisors or telling anyone on his own team what he/she is about to do. The guy is dangerous because he is so impulsive and that's the last thing the US and the world needs.

Posted in: Japan forces a harsh choice on children of migrant families See in context

Any couples who come to Japan illegally are taking a risk by assuming if they give birth to children in Japan that those children will be able to stay. Sadly it may well be that Japan (and Australia) have got it right with immigration by ensuring that only those who apply through legal channels have any chance of immigrating. Word travels quickly and people know Japan almost takes no immigrants so most wouldn't even both trying.
