Mayor Bill de Blasio promised swift action tweeting: “ANY NYPD Officer pushing ANY political agenda while on duty will face consequences.

Yeah, he should not just promise but actually order swift action on reducing crime in his city and make rioters, arsonists and thieves face consequences instead of having what's left of the police release criminals the next day after they're arrested. He won't though. What's up with that?

Erdogan knows Trump will capitulate

Trump's not going to capitulate on anything and Erdogan knows it.

Another rat jumps.

Erdogan's a rat?

Trump's even afraid of Lesley Stahl.

There's a difference between being afraid of someone and not wanting to waste any more time with someone. The president's time is precious.

Biden, Trump rallies show sharp contrast

Yes, thousands of enthusiastic supporters show up at Trump rallies, virtually no one shows up at Biden appearances.

Opinion polls show Biden leading Trump nationally

Of course, that's going to continue until Trump's landslide victory.

In Pennsylvania, polls show Biden narrowly leading. A Reuters/Ipsos survey released earlier this week showed Biden with a four-percentage point advantage over Trump in the state

That means Biden will lose Pennsylvania in spite of Philadelphia.

Biden denied Trump accusations that he plans to ban fracking, a process to extract natural gas from shale. "I will not ban fracking, period," he said in Dallas, Pennsylvania

Sure, Joe, that's not what you and Kamala said before.

As if Biden would have handled it any better. He wouldn't have restricted travel from China in January as Trump did.

You're saying Biden would have restricted travel from China in Jan.? After his whining about Trump the next day?

Biden blasts his handling of crisis

As if Biden would have handled it any better. He wouldn't have restricted travel from China in January as Trump did.

Opinion polls show him trailing Biden both nationally

His rallies show him beating the pants off Biden's appearances.

Trump could not even protect his family

42 million people around the world have contracted the virus. Nobody protected them either. Jeez...

Thank goodness he ( Trump ) is on his way out.

He's going to win in a landslide.

A WGN snap poll has Trump winning this debate 74% to Joe's 24%.

I'm with the 74%. Trump killed it. Biden-Harris is finished.

Of course CNN has it 53% to 39% for Biden, haha

Biden came off more "presidential"

No he didn't, Trump did.

Trump must have forgotten to take his steroids before the debate because he sounded so tired and subdued

No he didn't, he was calm and and presidential.

That's not what Nancy Pelosi says, she says Beijing wants Biden.

The caption below the AP photo of that mural of Xi and Trump doesn't say where it is, but guaranteed it's not in Beijing or anywhere in China. Would be interesting to see how fast it would be painted over if someone dared paint this mural in Beijing or anywhere in China.

No, but Trump's going to give SNL 4 more years to try to make fun of him :D

So the plan going forward is to try to keep this Russian authored smear going

You and Adam Schiff are something else, lincolnman. Do you have any evidence at all that the Russians had anything to do with Hunter's laptop? Being as how we're still waiting for Schiff to produce his evidence of 2016 Trump-Russia collusion, I guess not.

Hunter Biden sells his laptop without erasing the hard drive and removes his password? Someone steals Hunter Biden's laptop? An unknown person takes it to a Mac repair shop and signs the receipt in his name. The laptop hard drive would be locked and password protected. No on comes back for the repaired laptop? The laptop drive has 30,000 emails? Who keeps 30,000 emails on their drive? The FBI had the laptop for a year?Giuliani is an agent of misinformation.

No, he's not, zichi, thanks to the computer repairshop guy who had the foresight to copy the hard drive before giving it to the corrupt FBI, Giuliani is laying out the biggest political scandal in U.S. history.

Posted in: Win the vote but still lose? Behold the U.S. Electoral College See in context

"Beautiful" is how U.S. political outsider Donald Trump described his shock presidential win against rival Hillary Clinton on the night of November 8, 2016.

I breathed a huge sigh of relief and then partied hardy that night.

Why an Electoral College?

For one thing, it allowed us to overcome the 4 million plus vote advantage Clinton had in nutty California thus giving her the total popular vote nationwide, and dodge the Clinton bullet that would have been an unmitigated disaster of epic proportions for the U.S. and the world.

Here's a good explanation of why we have the Electoral College -

Why the Electoral College is Essential

Three Reasons Why We Need the Electoral College

Professor makes case for the Electoral College

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIPt0oZuYFU

Debate was rekindled with Trump's victory. If 2020's race is a nail-biter, then the Electoral College will surely return to the spotlight.

Trump's going to win in a landslide. But the spotlight won't be on the Electoral College this time, it'll be on all these unrequested universal mail-in ballots, some coming in 3 days after election day for crying out loud.

Posted in: Trump pressures Barr to investigate Bidens as election nears See in context

Trump’s call for a Justice Department investigation of the Bidens came just one day after 11 GOP House members sent a letter to Barr calling for a special prosecutor to probe whether Biden received foreign money during his tenure in the Obama administration and if he allowed Hunter Biden “to peddle access to his father with foreign business entities.”

The FBI had this Biden-campaign killing info since late last year and sat on it.

Rudy Giuliani has it, though many people still don't know about it though because the feckless media and Twitter and FB are doing their level best to keep it under wraps.

They are failing though. The truth is coming out.

Donald is beyond desperate - he knows he is losing in a landslide...

Nah, the Biden campaign is desperate, they are keeping Joe locked down until the final debate so he doesn't blab out something he shouldn't. So far he hasn't denied any of the allegations.

a Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling in favor of state Democrats that had extended the deadline for state election officials to receive mail-in ballots postmarked by the evening of Election Day until three days later.

This is ridiculous. The election is Nov. 3, not days or weeks later. Mail-in ballots should be mailed at least a week before the election so they are counted by election day.

voter suppression is in full effect

No, but there are many cases of mail-in voter fraud. Look it up. It's even on Google.

Your excuse-making for Trump’s rancid brain fart doesn’t even agree with his explanation.

He said he was being sarcastic.

I don't know how anyone who watches the full press briefing and reads the text of what both men said can say Trump had a brain fart.

And yeah, I don't know why Trump said he was being sarcastic, he was not being sarcastic. Sometimes he says dumb stuff but he didn't say anything dumb at this briefing.

At least he doesn't lie about not raising taxes for anyone making over $400,000 a year.

Now we have Trump completely bungling the virus response and cratering the economy

Trump put restrictions on travel from China Jan. 31, something Biden obviously wouldn't have done if you look at what he said afterward complaining about Trump's"xenophobia."

Amazing how the economy is worst in states and cities run by Democrats.

President Trump on "Injecting" Disinfectants

After Acting Homeland Security Under Secretary for Science and Technology William Bryan delivers remarks on tests his lab is conducting with the virus, including killing it with disinfectants and UV rays, President Trump asks him whether it is possible for this to be applied to humans via injection.

In the debate, Trump was louder, more aggressive, and bullied more. Therefore he won.

At least he didn't tell Biden "Shut up man." He won on the issues.

Watched a bit of both candidates at their "town halls". Biden gave clear and detailed answers. He knows what he's talking about, and he showed that he is capable, wise, and compassionate

If you actually think that I can't help you.

Trump gave kindergarten-level answers to policy questions ("good", "best", "disaster"), and focused on how great he is and how everyone has been so unfair to him. He looked ready to explode in a narcissistic temper tantrum fireball.

He showed great restraint being as how was in a den of wolves out to get him.
