Seems like an opportune moment to swap that VX recipe for Novichok.

Honorable mention to Pepper from COC.

They seem to conveniently forget the world's largest stockpile of banned biological and chemical WMD just a few miles to the north.

Enough anthrax to render all major South Korean cities uninhabitable for several centuries.

More than adequate supply of tabun, sarin, ricin, botulinin and VX needed to completely depopulate the Korean peninsula south of the DMZ.

Covertly placed smallpox munitions that are projected to kill 10 to 20 million in the first wave.

These protestors should be wearing Kim Jong Nam masks instead and protesting the world's most heavily armed mafia-state crime against sentient life that is the Kim clique.

His outfit in Kolchak - the Night Stalker episode 'The Vampire' was the pinnacle of 70's fashion.

Loved him as the scoutmaster in the 1980 camp sci-fi horror classic 'Without Warning'.

Absolutely no mention of the world's largest stockpile of banned biological and chemical WMD.

Enough anthrax to render the Japanese archipelago uninhabitable for several centuries.

More than adequate supply of tabun, sarin, ricin, botulinin and VX needed to depopulate the Korean peninsula south of the DMZ.

Covertly placed smallpox munitions that are projected to kill 10 to 20 million in the first wave.

Nukes get Kim headlines, but his germs and nerve agents are the real ace card up his sleeve.

Posted in: Original 'Godzilla' actor Akira Takarada dies at 87 See in context

Some insight regarding his pacifist beliefs might be had from watching his portrayal of Takano in Tsuburaya's mecha-epic "The Last War" from 1961.

He co-starred with some of Hollywood's finest over the years - Joseph Cotten, Cesar Romero, Rhodes Reason & Nick Adams. He worked with many of Japan's greatest as well - Frankie Sakai, Kumi Mizuno, Mie Hama & Takashi Shimura. Yet he always stood out among them as a succinctly individual talent.

Thank you Mr. Takarada for your fabulous contribution to cinema and pop-culture over the decades. And thank you for all those beloved kaiju movie memories of my childhood.

Posted in: Alert level raised for Mt Ontake due to more volcanic quakes See in context

I'm not a volcanologist, but my understanding is that Mt. Ontake is at risk of phreatic eruptions, which are basically just steam explosions that don't involve pyroclastic flows or anything like that (that was what the 2014 eruption was).

Please read this journal article by volcanologists about the danger of Ontake lahars.

The lahars from Ontake triggered earthquakes in 1984 killed 29 people.

If you are within sight of an active stratovolcano, you are not safe.

Lahars and other types of pyroclastic flows can travel up to 100km.

Ash fall accumulation can collapse roofs at great distances.

And the blast shock can level structures quite far away from the explosion.

Nobody's willing to discuss the larger elephant in the room.

Enough weaponized anthrax to render the entire Japanese archipelago uninhabitable for a few centuries.

A more than adequate supply of VX, sarin, botulinin and tabun - if you wanted to completely depopulate the Korean peninsula south of the DMZ.

Covertly placed agents with smallpox munitions that are estimated to kill 20M in the first year.

Nukes are flashy Hollywood headline material that make for great PR and keep Kim's name up in lights. But the DPRK's chemical and bioweapons are the real ace up his sleeve.

Human beings are now encroaching further upon places where bears are. Those kinds of people are completely unused to noises mother nature makes, including anything not emanating from a smartphone, and aren't smart enough to differentiate between real wildlife and kumamon. The first sentence of this article is completely misleading. Train only goes as far south as Akita city. The closest Matsuo Basho ever got to Akita city was Kisakata in 1689, about 60km away.

Basho never visited Aomori. Please get your facts straight.
