It will be fine. Have plenty of towels and cool water available for spectators. Be ready with efficient cool down protocols for athletes. Seoul and Beijing have hosted games under similar conditions.

Japan is not a pacifist nation. It is a nation with war in its blood. The world is terrified of China right now and too gutless to ask them nicely to take a step back. Why not ask Japan, a nation that has humiliated China for 400 years to pull on the gloves? Ask a nation like Japan that hasn't been broken by PC weakness to push China in the back. Japan will look them right in the eye.

A lot of tough talk in this thread. If you really want to be a tough guy, encourage women not to have babies out of wedlock, discourage divorce by encouraging couples staying together and scold unstable men who want to take on the responsibility of someone else's children. Forget your charity and prayers.

Sadly all too common. Non-biological parents are 17 times more likely to cause a fatal assault toward a child than biological parents.

Democracy rewards the best liars. Every President in my living memory has been an almost sociopathic liar. If these politicians told the truth they would be booed off the stage.

Trump supporters already know he is an a-grade bullplopper but they don't care as long as he starts doing something for his base - anything in fact. His opponents, despite their constant tears, humiliation and projection would be delighted that he has done nothing so far. If the Dems are smart with their candidate and appeal to their base, they can win. They will blow it of course.

I was really touched by CrazyJoes comment that illegals had contributed $10 billion to SS. I mean, that's $30 for every man, woman and child in America. $30! Now I don't want my retirement to be made too comfortable so I donated my $30 to an elderly Guatemalan woman who was on the bus next to me. She looked at me like I was crazy and when I explained why I was doing it she smiled and laughed. Everyone's day is a little better now.

I wonder if when someone withdraws 500,000 Yen from a conbini ATM, an alert is sent to the police? If ever I had to withdraw such a large amount, not sure I would be doing it from the convenience store. Just sayin.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe raised eyebrows recently when he suggested Japan needed to first deal with its own problems before taking in newcomers.
Absolutely not! The Japanese public did not elect this government to take care of their interests. They elected it to fix the thousands of years of misery in the Middle East and Africa.

Obama shouldn't let the states and its people decide what they want to affect them directly.
The Federal Government is the only authority to be listened to.
The clever people in Washington who went to the best of the Ivy League colleges and live in gated communities know what is best for America.
Conservatives will tell you that we have to invade a country, topple its leadership, destroy its infrastructure, render its people desperate and homeless, and imprison and kill the civilians.
Not all conservatives.
