Posted in: Animal rescue group risks radiation to rescue stranded dogs See in context

There are some people that appreciate pets & obviously these chaps showed that they did.

Still agree that all the dogs have to have a darn good bath with hope that is all they will need bar food & love from pror owners.

I was thinking of this little girl with her dog. last evening when going to bed. For instead of green grass, shrubs, trees to flowers she was amongst the maze of debris & not even any girls as one might see at a park.

Being as young as she is I have to wonder what is going on in her mind, like are he parents, uncles & aunts, to cousins along with grand-parents alive not to mention her friends.

Just that she is fortunate that she has this little dog & there will be that personal touch between them along with love on both sides.

I look at that little girl as cute as she is, but probably missing friends to other relatives. Fortunately she has a dog that she will love & take care of for it will do the same.

Yes children need a pet like this one, ESPECIALLY in her situation.

My ignorance on the various Russian models. Also know that Canada has purchased FOUR the largest American cargo aircraft, not up to snuff of the Russian I feel, but so often when sending troops to Afghanistan or equipment then Canada had to hire some firm in the USA to do the job.

Posted in: Heavy help See in context

Those are massive cargo aircraft & I knew a bit about them when in contact with Pairs to Dakar competition & they moved all the m/cs, to cars, to big trucks, the choppers & all the electrical equipment in just one day to Egypt. As rebels might hit the race of the bikes, cars, to large trucks & such. After all they did it before a few yrs prior.

Also just last year or the year prior one came into Kelowna city with a number of the Russian choppers hauled off to a shop that would do all that was needed in converting them for logging matters to hauling water to the many wild forest fires in this Province of B.C. What amazed me is that they did not need a long landing strip.

It is so hard to accept as being true, but so it is. I hope the Govt will take him into some situation of being ignored & give him some help even if he has lost his wife for the latter must be hard on him a well.

At first I thought it was a good photo of the young ones jogging through snow, but upon the inlarged photo I noted the green grass showing & those were lovel cherry blossoms & not snow.

Yes I think we saw those new SUVs or vans at the rebound of the water, back to the sea. They were parked there to be picked up & shipped to some firm just a bit later of that day.

It definately is an amazing thing to read. I remember it being on Cdn TV news & apparently the dog sort of wandered here of there before he rescue people could get it to jump over other pieces of debris & looked health. Still when you think of it a normal dog does not need a LOT of food & might have found something (?) to eat on the floating debebris.

Sitting like that, as one questioned, is traditional even over here in North America when at Judo.

Not to my liking, at the time for I was suffering with damaged knees from many dirt comp events of where the bike & I sort of parted. I know the Doctors complained about all the dirt & gravel in the knee section to other things that were toren & damaged like a cartlide or so.

Being such an outsider it is hard for me to realize these traditions have been going on for so many years in Japan.

For in North American the USA & Canada have such a short history in life & so much more.

Very pretty to my eyes

With that earthquake & failure in the nuke electrica supply, it is not surprising that some of the underground petrol tanks do not have normal electrical pumps to bring up the petrol. It is definately a very, very interesting photo & shows how some people are using their brains.

The days of hand pumping up the petrol into a special glass container eyed by the owner or one to collecting the money is a thing that went away back in the mid-50s here in North American to also Canada.

Posted in: Up to 1,000 bodies left untouched near nuclear plant due to radiation fears See in context

One has to wonder why 70% of the voters in Germany are against a nucuclear power plant only guess after this the percentage will even be higher against such power plants.

When one thinks of it these 50 units in Japan, to 104 in the USA, to five in Canada, with just two in Procvince of Ontario & five in Quebec, but none in Western Canada ESPECIALLY as they are also OLD & we are to assume they are good for life?

I would not be able to prononce "Daiichi" as well for it is a town or city I have never heard. We had not critized anyone that cannot say Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for it is a bit of a bummer to say.

To late noe for CNN, for I would say "Quiet wasting the ammo up into the air for not only does in come down, but soon they will run out of ammuntion. Though they seem to know it now as they are asking for other countries to supply them with new guns & ammo.

Of interest a Japanese baby was just 2 yrs of age when the bomb was dropped. Went on to become a doctor to specialize in Cancer & has gone over to the USA to help those infected of normal cancer.

Posted in: U.S. sending robots to Japan to help with nuclear plant See in context

True the Americans have spent billions of dollars on many forms of robots that can see in the dark, talk, complete rotating & such. Darn well amazing & a bit frightning when one reads about what they have not to mention their drones in the air that can do so much it is hard to believe.

Posted in: Japan's automakers look for alternative parts suppliers after quake See in context

I was saying, around the same, on an American m/c board that when it comes to parts for our Honda, Yamaha,Suzuki & Kawsaki bikes. So it is a thought to us & since so many of us are driving cars or trucks made in Japan then the same.

Also Japan has turned out some lovely tractors, to catipillers, & so much more.

If something like this was in North America then people would be DRIVING their CARS for most do not have bicycles.

Though earthquakes & the water is not like that in our places.

Still good photo to wake people up.

Very good photo & I also think that is the end of the railway line as I cannot see the track in front of it.

Still this mess, the loss of homes or business along with loss of lives is really to hard for any of us Cdns to believe other then we know it is true due to the many good photos.

The people will need to be with others to chat a bit, to also have some food to water, washrooms to use, something to keep them warm AND they will need the sleep if they can obtain it.

This is quite a maze of people one has to admit so a good photo of the ties of stres.

Like the rest of you this is hard to accept as being life in those parts of Japan. Naturally one has to wonder if the reactors can be corrected & can these parts of Japan get back to normal-----honestly it boggles the mind for on news reports we can see it is snowing again.

Posted in: Geiger counters sell out in Akihabara over radiation fears See in context

If I was in Japan I guess I would be doing the same & more so if I had children going to school. Not necessary in North America, as of to date, for said nuclear power plants plus the reactors are a bit younger.

To my knowledge only two of them in the Province of Ontario & three in the Province of Quebec, though 104 in the USA, but then much larger population then Cdn.
