I love comedy :) really like a good laugh.

But this "joke" isn't fun. It's racism directed at 1 person.

Yes, they should definitely be fired !

Good job Japan, nicely done !!

I had to explain to wife that 30 - 10 isn't such a big score in rugby. I think she was thinking about football ( soccer for the yanks here ).

She didn't believe me until I showed her the biggest win in rugby worl cup history .... note to Ganbare Japan, you shouldn't search that buddy.... It's a shocker :(

In 2004, there was a movie called 'White Chicks' which had 2 black guys dress up as 2 white girls. They had 'whiteface' - let's all get pent up about EVERYTHING shall we.

How on earth did we become so sensitive ...

Think of 5 countries that are considered rogue states by Western counties - we can all guess who they are. Sanctions have tarnished their names, and for a good reason.

North Korea have been sanctioned for breaking so many international norms - sinking ships in international waters and downing passenger jets just to name a few.

People will harp on about sanctions hurting the little people, but apart from sanctions , the alternative is war.

Posted in: 2 court cases highlight paternity leave issue in Japan See in context

There seems to be this illusion that if fathers do more to help at home then women will have more children.

My grandparents generation had 5, 6, 7 kids per family but those guys didn't lift a finger in the house.

The birth rate has fallen for many reasons. This comment will probably be moderated if I start to list them now so I won't, but I really don't think giving guys paternity leave is going to boost the birth rate.

Posted in: Robert Mugabe, longtime Zimbabwe leader, dies at 95 See in context

Yep, the western sanctions turned the country from a breadbasket into a basket-case.

Nope, that's not what I was talking about but nice try ...

Mugabes agrarian reform led to white farmers being forced out.

Locals, with little or no experience took on the farms -

Mismanagement led to a depletion in crop yield, so as I was saying ...

From breadbasket to basket-case.

Mismanagement pretty much sums up the Mugabe regime over the years -

Ok that's a good point chip star, I can agree with that.

But I thought South Korea were going to boycott the games anyway ... So they don't want to come AND they want to be party-poopers ?

At this point, it's pretty obvious that they are trying to do everything possible to throw mud at Japan

Posted in: K-pop and kimchi: Tokyo's 'Little Seoul' shrugs off spat See in context

@Snickers - Should we file that under 'things that never happened'? When did Moon scrap the agreement? The agreement still stands.

http://www.asahi.com/ajw/articles/AJ201810310062.html

The deal is dead. You can tiptoe around the wording if you like, but Moon basically killed the agreement when he dissolved the fund and rejected Mr. Abe's apology.

HeckleberryToday  06:45 pm JST

Such a tired cliche. You ignore the fact the latest spat was kicked off by Japan choosing curb exports of raw high tech material to SK, in response to a court decision in SK, nothing whatsoever to do with any government or politician.

I think your story needs a prelude -

It goes something like this ..

Korea and Japan sign Final and Irreversible agreement.

Japan pays money (again) and prime minister apologizes for Japanese wartime aggression.

Moon comes to power, scraps the Final and Irreversible agreement.

Now you start your movie ...

No, no, no !! This story needs more background information.

Why do people keep glossing over the 2015 agreement that was scrapped?? Was it not final and irreversible??

Was that the action of an ally?

No! So why treat them like an ally?

Really sad news. Feel so sorry for everyone involved.

Roads are dangerous and accidents do happen - 40% of all accidents occure at intersections -

This accident should (will most probably) lead to changes in kindergarten policy.

Why were there only 3 teachers guiding so many little children on such a busy road? I have 2 children ( a hand for each child ) so I can't imagine how the teachers can comfortably care for 4-5 children when out walking.

Most Kindergartens have minibuses. If they had one, why wasn't it used ?
