Until Nintendo stops region locking I won't consider them superior to other gaming companies. Except Pokemon... I always love pokemon. **Always

Posted in: The world's postal services are struggling with lower demand for letter deliveries. How would you feel if the mailman became a thing of the past? Do you still eagerly look in your mailbox each day? See in context

I can't say I use mail as a form of communication with my peers. BUT, I do order many things online from Japan I simply can't find where I live. One of - if not the only- Japanese supermarket in my state is pretty far away, and lacks what I prefer to purchase. They only specialize in books, stationary, groceries, and CDs. Very basic stuff. What I'm looking for is otaku merchandise, which I could only really find on the west coast. That's why I order anime figures, computer games, doujin from online. Without USPS, I wouldn't have at least 80% of the otaku merchandise I have.

China's going to need some ice for that burn.

This picture reminds so much of what I love about Japan the safety. If this were LA or some other American city, the dog (or the stroller, considering that doesn't look like the cheapest stroller ever) would get stolen. I can imagine people stopping by and commenting "kawaii" but then just carry on with their lives and walk away. That is why I love Japanese people. That is a reason why I love Japan.

Posted in: Bangladesh bans manga cartoon Doraemon See in context

@budgie How is manga lame? It's just another medium for story telling.

On topic.. If Doraemon is banned because “The government doesn’t want children’s educational atmosphere to be hampered by Doraemon,” than that is sad if they really think that Doraemon dubbed in Hindi is really going to influence them. It goes to show what kind of education system you have if you're really THAT paranoid about the kiddies being influenced by some cartoons. That is of course, if that reason is valid, and isn't hiding some prideful nationalism.

I feel like JapanToday article writers use the words "scramble" way too often. I know this is kind of irrelevant, but every single article I see that has to do with violated air/sea territory, "Japan scrambles its jets, or its own warships". lol

This is one of those moments where I am embarrassed to be American. Especially when we're dealing with a group minded race like the Japanese.

I personally don't look forward to it if its true. The perverted magazines are what makes the average Konbini Japanese!
