"the US were having to prop it up from the beginning" Taiwanisnotchina---your words---that is exactly what Biden is doing in Ukraine now. It's time to end the bankroll of this war. The US has done enough--

EFD,,

Shades of how Viet Nam started with the USA providing weapons and money and eventually military advisors.

The USA was afraid that communism would spread to South Vietnam and then the rest of Asia. It decided to send money, supplies and military advisers to help the South Vietnamese Government. And then JFK sent 16,000 US troops as "military advisors" in to help train . And things went to hell after that. Biden seems to be doing the same thing. A lot of pockets were lined with the money JFK sent and I feel that is happening in Ukraine now. Right or wrong that is my opinion.

Carlos,

I share your feeling. Biden has given him over 100 billion dollars, now jets and much more. What's next?-- Military advisers on the ground? Sounds like Viet Nam all over again.

It could be worse. Remember when 1 USD was 76 JPY?

And I also remember when it was Y360 to the dollar--I hope it goes to 200

I was here when it was 360yen to $1 and I'm still here now-- I've seen it go from 360 down to 75 and now at 150. Great for those of us getting paid in dollars.
