If Putin was my neighbor, I’d be afraid of him doing an Ukraine on me.

Putin’s like a big, ugly weasel.

Government sponsored terrorism, and let’s not forget that China, Iran & North Korea are enabling Putin in murder. These are NOT peace loving countries.

China doesn’t need Taiwan and Taiwan certainly doesn’t need China.

Do you ever get the feeling that we're all like the frog in the boiling pot of water that doesn't have enough sense to get out until it's too late?

Posted in: Quaid looks (and sounds) the part, but ‘Reagan’ is more glowing commercial than biopic See in context

I wonder if Quaid ever visited Reagan's birthplace in Tampico, Illinois. My grandmother was from there so I've been to his birthplace a few times. Nothing to see really, but as you look around in this small town of a couple hundred people you realize how isolated everything is. Nothing but cornfields for miles and miles in all directions but at the same time everything is so incredibly Midwestern in terms of the culture and people.

"You just kind of get used to it", McNulty told the Chicago Tribune. I keep my eyes open because I want to know what's going on around me at all times."

Wise words and not just when you're in Chicago but in any of the other major U.S. cities.

Russia is like Germany during WWII in using terror as a weapon in the way they bomb schools, hospitals, apartment buildings, orphanages, etc. Downright medieval.

I don't particularly care for Netanyahu, but talk about being between a rock and a hard place. He's in one helluva situation. Grieving family members of hostages on one side and bloodthirsty terrorists on the other side.

Mongolia is justifiably nervous. They're probably a bit nervous about giving Russia an excuse to do a Ukraine on them.

On one of the Japanese gossip shows the other day they showed the clip of Ohtani stealing second base and the other team's second baseman came up to him and said with the microphones off . . . hypothetically:

Second baseman: "Well, I suppose you want to remove this base and take it home with you."

Ohtani: "No, that's OK. I don't need it. I'm going for the 50 / 50 record."
