Heaven help the world if that happens.

They're already doing an excellent job of running the country and dealing with global issues caused by the destabilization of the world hegemony Putin, Xi and Kim used Trump to initiate, during his administration.

Under Biden/Harris everyone is doing better than they were four years ago... with the exception of women, when it comes to rights as equal citizens having self-autonomy over their bodies.

And let's not forget, Trump tried to overthrow the government, is an adjudicated sexual predator and fraudster, who headed an adjudicated criminal organization.

America and the world will thrive when Biden/Harris win in November.

I've liked much of Garland's work over the years. I wasn't particularly interested in seeing this movie until I saw he was the director.

It's interesting watching Mike Johnson trying to balance his interest in actually doing his job, with his extremist policies that align with the extremists who threaten to take away his job, because said extremists forced a position where it's really easy for them to take his job.

And that's what we can expect of Republican "leadership".

Are either of them on the jury now?

No.

So possibly biased jurors were removed.

What’s your problem?

Someone covered it earlier - 90% of MAGA anger is them figuring out how things work.

Wow , quite a response ...but really dude , pretty sure you know better than that and can see the righteous G7 leaders stance for what it is, even if its hard for you to admit that out loud.

Nah, I just realized it was an apples to oranges comparison, and that if you had made such a comparison, you clearly didn't realize it, and I couldn't be bothered to bring myself down to the level required to explain it.

IF you problem is solved with unsightly metallic fillings, that is...

How are you talking that all your teeth can be seen?

Most people try to avoid having all the metal detectors sounding the alarms in airports.

I have a filling, it's never set off any metal detectors.

What for? To bring more destruction and suffering to civilians? This is where you will succeed. But you have forgotten that Russia is a nuclear power.

You've forgotten what the Mutual in Mutually Assured Destruction means.

By definition, a nuclear power cannot be defeated!!!

Yes it can. That's the mutual part.

Quite sure you know the answer, unless you think bombing embassies, playgrounds and killing / wounding 150 thousand ( 70% civilians in 6 months) is fine. A lot on here are super keen to sanction Iran / Russia but then Israel gets a free card..hmm, wonder which country has most G7 leaders in their pocket.

Ahh, so you've decided to compare apples to oranges. Thanks for clarifying.

Pouring Billions of $ into Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan and many other Leeches has NOTHING to do with U.S. national Security.

Feed your own people and help the needy,

Providing Free education, Free Health Care, Free Transportation, plus free meals for all Children is in the best interest of National Security .

Why does it have to be one or the other?

No president, other than Trump, has claimed absolute presidential immunity.

Or to put it another way, no president other than Trump has claimed his personal actions were afforded presidential immunity.

...and yes, Japanese dentists are so expensive that, for anything more than 4-5 teeth, it is cheaper to just fly to an Eastern EU country, stay in a hotel for a week, get the best and most expensive monolithic zirconium bridges and fly back. The process is fully digital (scans and teeth construction) and so the quality stays extraordinarily good. If Japan for each tooth it cost about 10X the price (no joke)..

Or you can get a filling done for about 6000 yen.

Russia will not give up as long as it sees encroachment on its borders which was the reason for the invasion in the first place.

Russian is the only country that has attempted to encroach it's borders, so you've got the cart before the horse mate. No one else has invaded anyone.

Your argument is like when my brother used to hold my wrist then slap me with it, and blame me for it.

Ukraine has no nuclear weapons -Russia has.

And Putin knows if he uses them, Moscow becomes past tense.

The Ukrainians have no leverage over Russia

That's why they'll just have to kill every Russian soldier in Ukraine.

He’s right though. There is definitely the two face phenomenon in Japan.

There is everywhere. People who tell the truth all the time in any society are rejected by society. What you call two-faced is more generally known as "being polite", something the Japanese are known for.

The Japanese don’t think it is two face though but just a normal way of life.

Chinese people are known for being so blunt as to be rude. They definitely do not have a reputation for being particularly polite.

Make PEACE NOT WAR people.

Everyone wants peace except Russia. They are the one country that could ensure peace tomorrow if they wanted it. And Ukraine has wanted peace from day one, but Russia has rejected their peace proposal.

So your comment, while likely well intentioned, is misdirected. You can point it at one person: Putin.

Maybe. Maybe not. He was excused either way.

The other one dropped out because her family found out it was her.

She would be disowned if the jury she is on doesn’t convict, so safer to drop out.

Yes, left wingers are generally honest, and will be open if they have a bias. Unlike rightwingers who try to overthrow democracy when they get bothered that it doesn't align with their extremism.

Americans cant afford health care and dental treatment, 100,000 plus living in cars and streets and here we have more money for weapons in far off lands.

Blame that on Republicans who are so driven to make sure that not one single person ever get something they don't deserve, even if that is as the cost of many who do deserve.

China has been alienating the SE Asian countries as well.

Just like it's possible some jurors may be lying about being impartial but are actually MAGA.

It's up to the lawyers on both sides to root them out and ensure they are excused for cause.

Funny how "culture" is overwhelmingly top down, meaning to say, benefitting those with most power.

In this case. It would be simplistic to think that is true for all cases. Culture is very important to humanity.

These people are so unable to do anything that they can't even quit by themselves?

That's a very simplistic way of thinking.

Culture, on the other hand, is complex.

Posted in: I don't know if the number is high or low, but I think the demand for resignation agents will continue to increase, especially among young people. See in context

Or, are these employees just too chicken to give notice and resign, by themselves?

It's societal, and part of what is considered a good work ethic in Japanese companies. As a group-based society, leaving the group high and dry is a cultural no-no. Companies will sometimes tell employees they are too busy for the employee to resign at that point in time. Quitting would show a bad work ethic, leave their co-workers high and dry (or at least, have the image of that), and result in a bad reference.

It would be a very simplistic way of thinking to just call them 'too chicken'.

While much attention is given to tragedies involving affluent white Americans, more can be learned by analyzing similar events which occurred and are occurring around the globe with more diverse peoples. More media attention should be given to atrocities in Haiti. Africa, urban America, etc.

Interesting group of areas you seem to consider America's peers when it comes to gun violence.
