Just a distraction from what's really happening like the gigantic peaceful protest in London on Saturday, well over 100,000 attended just look at it:

Is that the same protest led by that gigantic, anti-vax, anti-mask eejit Laurence Fox? Where protesters were seen wearing “No Covid ID” on yellow Stars of David......?

For me, my vinyl collection has only re-intensified since living here. I had a brief love affair with CDs back home in the UK with BritPop. It is something I regret totally. They lure you in with a promise of cheap thrills, a compact package and endless playability.

My father’s Johnny Hodges/Ben Webster records sound superb through my Micro and Yamaha..........that, and realizing I’ve become more tactile in my old age, preferring LPs for their artwork alone.

Perhaps Aso should do a “John Gummer” publicity stunt with his children and drink the water?

Posted in: Is the UK racist? Report's positive picture draws skepticism See in context

Anyway, given all this, may I ask all those people who think that Britain is somehow fundamentally racist, to please tell me which country is less so.

So that makes it ok for Britain to be racist, because other countries equally are?

Besides, this is an article/discussion about Britain, not other countries.

So the esteemed Right-Honourable Gentlemen was being sarcastic when referring to black people as “flag-waving piccaninnies” with “watermelon smiles,” was he? Oh riiiiiiight.

I suppose the reference to Muslim women as ”letterboxes” was equally sarcastic, eh? (That’s a rhetorical question, by the way.)

“They say he is shortly off to the Congo. No doubt the AK47s will fall silent, and the pangas will stop their hacking of human flesh, and the tribal warriors will all break out in watermelon smiles to see the big white chief touch down in his big white British taxpayer-funded bird.”

“What a relief it must be for Blair to get out of England. It is said that the Queen has come to love the Commonwealth, partly because it supplies her with regular cheering crowds of flag-waving piccaninnies; and one can imagine that Blair, twice victor abroad but enmired at home, is similarly seduced by foreign politeness.”

When the then future Foreign Secretary, and future leader of the Conservative Party Boris Johnson, can say this, and STILL get elected Prime Minister, then I would say, yes, the UK is institutionally racist.

Sorry, not sorry, that someone that became famous by basically ‘showing off’ is now complaining about those consequences.
