Posted in: Who is winning the game console battle? See in context

The perception is Sony is right now, but the Wii U is the only console for me and the only new console which actually exists until the end of this year, so we'll have to see if Nintendo can gain the kind of momentum for their Wii U as their 3DS now has.

These ratings don't mean much. I am Canadian and we tend to always say things are great when they aren't. If this number is correct, the majority of my friends and myself are in the 9%.

Oh this is cool. I am going to have to check them out when I'm in Japan in October. As for peoples safety I know it's safe for me, but I'm only a kid at heart. For real kids, that's up to the parents.

Posted in: G7 says Japan playing by currency rules See in context

Of course. Too bad the people who voted my negative on the other article are not able to see that what's good for the goose is good for the gander. One country can't print all he money it wants and tell the others not to. I hope Japan is able to make this new monetary policy work some how.

The US is just upset, because just like with most everything else, the Japanese are better are doing this than the US.

Could the US be a larger hypocrite with this warning?

Posted in: 126 U.S. military members to sue TEPCO See in context

This american culture of lawsuits does no good for any society and why are military people able to sue for being put into situations? If they don't like it, they should get a different job. That is why the people who do serve their countries with honor are so greatly respected.

Posted in: Japan gives Canada $1 mil for tsunami debris cleanup See in context

My Canadian Gov't did basically nothing to support Japan after this disaster. The federal government sent some blankets and also gave this support very late in the process as well. Almost all support came from Canadians, not their government. Shame on Harper yet again. I apologize to the people of Japan who need this money to buy safe food and shelter.

“If labor costs rise, earnings improvement will stop, and there will be another economic downturn,” said one survey respondent representing a wholesaler.

That says it all. Companies across the world do not care about anything other than their profit. This is a self defeating belief system. The wealth of the world is like a pie and if the companies piece of that pie keeps getting bigger, other people's piece has to shrink. Ironically for the companies, while they keep all their profits in the bank and continue to shrink employee benefits, they are reducing the size of their customers piece of pie and subsequently they will go out of business. When did continuous growth in profits replace the desire for sustainability?

I can't wait for Monster Hunter, Wii U Fit U and like you said, more great titles to come. The gamepad adds a great feel to the game play, now they need to get the better games out in North America.

I saw osuzumebachi for the first time earlier this year when we were in fukui. Those suckers are insanely big. I swatted one coming at me with a shovel and it didn't die. It was about 2.5 cms long!

I am not one for festivals, but this one looks amazing to myself and the only reason I haven't seen it yet is because we usually don't visit Japan this time of the year. I am happy to see it is back up and running and hope the locals and those attending continue to enjoy it for many years!
