It is probably the French management. Carlos Ghosn has some brass reproduction organs that japan executives lack. Plus Nissan are making more interesting cars then toyota and honda. I still drive a Silva i bought new back in 1995. I love that car to death.

Posted in: Japan switches off final nuclear reactor See in context

sure we don't need nuclear power, we'll just rack up huge trade deficits importing our energy from places like Iran, Venezuela, Africa, and other places that don't like the western world(which we are apart of).

or we could turn on the nuclear reactors, import our uranium from Australia. they loves us down there.

Posted in: For a nuclear-free Japan See in context

more like for shrinking economy japan! we need to turn on the reactors to reduce our energy imports.

Posted in: Hunger strike See in context

how fitting, by keeping the nuclear power plants offline; we are slowly starving our economy.

geothermal is the way to go in Japan. solar isn't cost effective unless you do large scale molten salt type power plants.

yeah i seriously doubt there was enough in a high school classroom to make anything big enough to be more then a firecracker.

seriously i could make a large amount of gunpowder just from stuff from hardware and pharmacy stores.

Posted in: Japan welcomes U.N. backing in Pacific atoll dispute See in context

china and south korea like to claim the rules are being violated because they say it is just a shallow spot in the ocean while japan says it is an island. japan should dredge up a couple million cubic feet of what not and build the atoll/island up so its always above the water and call it a bird sanctuary. look at all those islands the united states has had in the pacific since the war that are little more then sandy spots in the ocean with a runway.

Posted in: Japan welcomes U.N. backing in Pacific atoll dispute See in context

Okino tori Shima is so far out in the ocean China and Skorea have no right to claim anything about it. they are just trying to piss off japan for the sake of pissing japan off. the only thing they have to loose is unlimited fishing in unclaimed waters.

Posted in: Japanese engineers find second life in China See in context

we can just be glad that the chinese auto industry is still as horrible as it is. Toyota, Honda, Nissan, etc are the only thing keeping this country sinking as slowly as it is.

i really wish those engineers would find someplace other then china to work though.

Posted in: Criticism mounts over plan to restart nuclear reactors See in context

photovolatic is still too expensive per kilowatt versus any other source. you would still need power generators for cloudy periods. a power grid to distribute, power storage for excess solar power.

turn on the nuclear power. it has still killed and maimed fewer people then coal, oil, and gas.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

Posted in: Criticism mounts over plan to restart nuclear reactors See in context

lol photovolatic solar is not efficient. plus they require rare earth elements which mainly come from china.

my solution would be to turn on the reactors to cover energy needs until the 10-20 years it would take to tap all the geothermal power in japan.

Posted in: Criticism mounts over plan to restart nuclear reactors See in context

The nuclear reactors need to be restarted. we can't sit around burning carbon based energy while the turds in the diet sit around discussing on the color of the cover of the binder. that they will use to contain the printed out material that lists the activities. of the committee summit for the future plans of alternate energy.
