Posted in: AKB48 and S Korean idol groups perform hits at music awards; turns out to be a disaster See in context

All this JPop versus KPop means nothing really. Those same keyboard warriors will be attacking their own AKB groups the next day about who gets center position in the next song, why their favorite didn't make the video,or is in the back row.

Those fans follow the girls from first auditions, through their time in the groups, till graduation. They invest lots of time and money,so I can see why they get vocal.

I still don't really get the anti's,like 90% of the posters here who only post negative comments. For me,my main hate is Country music. But I simply avoid it,have never posted any derogatory comments on any country forum. If you enjoy music of any type, good for you.

My favorite Japanese girl group is BiSH,so make of that what you want..

Awesome win,top level competition from Russia and China.Felt sorry for GB and USA but at this level any error is deadly.

Posted in: Momoiro Clover Z plans concert for men only, drawing complaints from women’s organization See in context

Seems to be a lot of misinformation in some of the comments here.Momoclo Z have always been different in their approach to the Idol market. That is what gets them a bigger and more diverse fanbase.Male, female, young and old.

And they have had Woman's only concerts in some large venues, see video below.

I had my right eye done just over a month ago. They simply marked above the right eye with a black marker before the op.Luckily I need both done,so it made no difference, and I had joked about that with the anesthetist.

Posted in: AKB48 sister group HKT48 kicks off first national tour See in context

Sasshi has done great work with HKT48,and the girls have worked so hard,on stage and off.Their TV shows give them all a chance to shine and show their funny side.Popular with fans, management have moved girls like Sakura,Haruppi and Mio into the main AKB groups.

The next big single(38th) will also see Sakura join Watanabe Mayu as centre, and also see Madoka Moriyasu another popular HKT member join in the single along with leader Sasshihara and Haruppi,4 HKT girls in the next AKB single. With their own concert tour, these girls are rising and showing their worth in the huge AKB family.

To each their own,and if you don't like the music,no problem, but for us fans we see the hard work, the friendship and the rivalry, and the evolving story of these girls rise in the AKB family.

There is one Idol group that I support. They also did their time at this Tokyo Idol Fest before. What is fun about them is the way they ignore all the conventional idol stereotypes.Their fan base is a real mix.Take a look at Momoiro Clover Z.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvBANwtNSO0

This festival is a great showcase for new and upcoming Indie Idol groups who along with their management have an eye on the fame and profit out there. No matter what you think of AKB48 or Morning Musume they are proven money makers. The girls get to live their dreams till graduation, and see the reality of the industry.

How different are we really in the West with our TV talent shows that spew out the next so called star! Producers trying to create the next Bieber or Gaga!(Yes I know Bieber was found and not produced)

Music, fandom,Idol worship is not a bad thing, plenty more in this world to vent your righteous indignation on.And JT will always drip feed AKB stories as they keep everyone chatting,me included

R.I.P Yoshinari Matsushita. My thoughts are with you, your family and the team.It is the worlds toughest race as AKBfan stated.I have the utmost respect for any rider who races at this what must be the worlds oldest extreme sports event.

I like anime and music but this looped to a degree that I found irritating. To find a true act that is growing virally have a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Uee_mcxvrw&feature=watch-vrec

It is an Official music video, but be warned it might stick around the dark recesses of your mind.

Like Farmboy said, without a Tap and Die set what can you do.I know NASA has used duct tape and cardboard before on filters.Do they have any kind of workshop facilities up there.A simple metal bracket shaped to cover the box and long enough to bolt to nearby fasteners might work, but do they have metal bar, drills or even longer bolts!
