Unreal - the same conservative folks who fully supported the last GOP economic trainwreck and global meltdown have just voted back in the SAME folks who delivered it.

And they're elated about it??

The insanity on the Right is never-ending.

Us Global Liberals fully expect you guys to screw up >every time< - and you never fail to deliver.

You just screwed up massively - yet again - by voting the GOP back in.

At least you're consistent! :-)

Wolfpack, ok, so you're just going to ignore Obama's pretty significant list of achievements (see my post above, nome of it partisan) and keep on bashing the guy despite the great deal of good he's clearly done?

I'm ok with that. It's what I fully expected you to do anyway.

Amazing to think there's actually conservatives out there who think that by voting in the same pack of economic terrorists who brought us:

a global economic meltdown a government shutdown 2 unwinnable wars attacks on women, LGBTs, minorities and the environment who voted down jobs bills and infrastructure bills, and

who want to pillage social security for people who have worked their arses off, including those conservatives parents and grandparents,

that they are somehow going to get a different result this time.

With thinking like that, it's no wonder the GOP -and conservatives are dragging the country they pretend to love down to third world status.

Wolfpack, Obama's "leadership deficiencies also delivered:

A record high stock market.

No new wars.

63 straight months of economic expansion

The longest period of private sector job creation in American history

Unemployment has dropped from 10.1% in October of 2009 to 5.9% and projected to reach 5.4% by summer of 2015.

10-odd million more people covered by health insurance.

A reduction in the Federal budget deficit by two-thirds since 2009.

Under Obama, spending has increased only 1.4% annually, the lowest rate since Eisenhower was president.

What do you say about that?

Anything?  I'm fully expecting you to ignore these facts because they just don't fit with the untruths  you so desperately want to believe are true.

Bass4funk is just the same.

Under the GOP, here's what we got last time:

A global economic meltdown

2 unwinnable wars

And you just voted the same pack of losers/economic terrorists back in again.

Well done, mate, well done....

bass4funk: "That Obama is THE worst president to occupy the WH surpassing Jimmy Carter?"

Haha, :-) Willful ignorance of reality.

I already posted this:

SushiSake4: "Obama bent over backwards in debt negotiations to compromise with Republicans, even by putting Medicare on the table.

bass4funk: As they say, if you tell a lie long enough, you will eventually believe it.

Not really. You willfully chose to ignore this, too:

"In debt talks, Obama offers Social Security cuts"

www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/in-debt-talks-obama-offers-social-security-cuts/2011/07/06/gIQA2sFO1H_story.html

That's fact. That's reality, although I know why you're ignoring it: making up your own report is more fun, even when it's flat wrong. :-)

SushiSake4: What was the Republicans' response? Shut down the government anyway.

bass4funk: Everyone can have a screw up and that wasn't one of their finest moments,

So, shutting down the government was a "screw up"?

Mate, they did it purposely.  That's economic terrorism. You supported it as did millions of other Americans.

No surprises there. You're a big part of the problem you hate so much. Do you realize that?

bass4funk: "I'm gloating NOT because I love to see Dems squirm or that I hate the majority of them, I gloat because they thought their **** don't stank!"

Again, you're not actually living in reality here.  In fact, you're ignoring it.

Here's what you also conveniently ignored from my last post.

For your viewing pleasure: :-)

Under Obama -

The stock market continues to set new records since Obama has been in office (The Dow Jones Industrial averages reached an all-time high of 17,098 in August)

There's been 63 straight months of economic expansion

The longest period of private sector job creation in American history

Unemployment has dropped from 10.1% in October of 2009 to 5.9% and projected to reach 5.4% by summer of 2015.

10-odd million more people covered by health insurance.

The Federal budget deficit is shrinking and has been reduced by two-thirds since 2009.

Under Obama, spending has increased only 1.4% annually, the lowest rate since Eisenhower was president

Bass4funk:  "They actually believed that the public is happy with their policies and the people gave a thunderous statement, NO!"

Thanks FOX?

bass4funk: "The problem with Dems is that, they cannot see beyond the next election cycle, they ONLY think about winning and accumulating more votes,"

Mate. Are you serious? Pretty much all politicians do this.

bass4funk: "The Dems had all the ideas, but they were too radical for any of that crap to be implemented and with good reason."

LOL! Introducing universal healthcare - too radical? Mostly the rest of the world has had this for years. The US is finally catching up.

Looking after and trying to protect the environment, too radical? Only got one planet, mate.

Trying to get out of 2 unwinnable wars? Too radical?

That's pretty funny. :-)

Bass, your comments are off the charts.  Reality it on the other room. I realize you're frustrated but please at least try to get at least a few of your facts straight.  :-)

"In debt talks, Obama offers Social Security cuts"

www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/in-debt-talks-obama-offers-social-security-cuts/2011/07/06/gIQA2sFO1H_story.html

That was easy.  :-)

Again, as I said above, it's the Global Liberals who have to educate American conservatives about their own country's politics.

And let's look at some more fun facts you have probably never heard of - and reason why Obama is one heck of a good community organizer, not to mention president.

Under Obama -

The stock market continues to set new records since Obama has been in office (The Dow Jones Industrial averages reached an all-time high of 17,098 in August)

It seems some conservatives on this thread are exhibiting their trademark selective memories again. :-)

Obama bent over backwards in debt negotiations to compromise with Republicans, even by putting Medicare on the table.

What was the Republicans' response?

Shut down the government anyway.

It's pretty funny to see conservatives on this thread gloating over this election win - the fact they are just underlines how little they know about their own country's politics, and - yet again and as usual - it's the Global Libs who have to educate them.

The writing's on the wall now for the GOP. They cannot and do not function with the TP. GOPpers kicked a handful of TP candidates out, which has only given us a preview of the bloody backstabbing that will happen on the Right over the next 2 years.

The GOP simply cannot govern. Virtually everything they do is anti-American. Do they have fresh, workable ideas? No, they have no ideas.

All they excel in is skyrocketing the national debt, spreading and enabling destruction, bowing down to their Wall St paymasters, and shafting the 99%.

Shanique Smith nailed it - a Democrat will become president in 2016.

Sorry, conservatives, you lost the war last night.

Have fun kicking yourselves out of power over the next 2 years. :-)

Only the GOP could blow a good thing by winning.

Now, unfortunately for them, they'll have to do something they have repeatedly demonstrated they cannot do:

govern.

Oh, and take responsibility for bills with their names on them.

Global Liberals - time to don sunglasses and lay back in those deck chairs and watch the oncoming infighting, backstabbing and terminal implosion of the Right.

It won't even take 2 years for the GOP to cause more havoc and economic and social destruction. I'm confidant they can do it in 1.

Once the wreckage clears, it'll be another Dem moving into the WH in '16.

Sorry conservatives, you won.

You blew it. :-)

Good times! :-)

Sorry to dampen the party for all the conservatives out there but please enjoy your last 2 years of power.

"Obama said he is eager to hear Republican ideas for governing together, citing construction of roads, bridges and other facilities as one area ripe for cooperation."

The GOP already killed an infrastructure bill. They clearly didn't think Americans deserve safer bridges and better roads.

"Obama said he is eager to hear Republican ideas..."

Lol! :-) Everyone knows the GOP doesn't have any ideas.  It's funny seeing conservatives even on JT thinking that saying 'no' to an idea is an idea in itself. :-)

Great thing is, the last time the GOP was in power, they gifted us a global economic meltdown, 2 unwinnable wars, and a skyrocketing federal deficit.   A majority of Americans are clearly gluttons for punishment and think the punishment they had inflicted on them by the last GOP administration wasn't enough.

2 more years of GOP control (albeit with Obama's veto) is only going to deliver more of the same destruction and another WH victory for Dems in 2016.

As I said, sorry to dampen the party for all the conservatives out there - party while you still can, haha, you've just signed your own permanent electoral death warrant.

Wahoo!   This is awesome.

This GOP senate takeover pretty much guarantees another Dem/Hillary in the WH in '16. :-)

America's now going to have to sit tight for 2 years of crap Right policies. Sorry, guys!

Once Keystone leaks a few times, fracking drains more town water supplies dry, we have a few more massive offshore oil drilling platform leaks, the TPP shreds Americans' liberties, and GOP-denied climate change fries California's crops once and for all, a majority of Americans are finally going to understand how anti-American the Right is and return the Dems and sanity to power.

Awesome. :-)

Would ANY of this be happening today if the extremist fundies in the GOP hadn't all jumped on the GWB bandwagon and voted to invade a country (Iraq) that never attacked them - and subsequently inflame the entire region?

And now the conservatives are blaming Obama for a dodgy-looking withdrawal from Iraq that their pal bush signed off on?

Before conservatives go any further in thinking what Fox News tells them to think wrt defeating IS, they need to look harder at what they think and say, and who they voted for.

"The White House wants Congress to include the authorization in a temporary funding measure they’re expected to vote on before adjourning later this month. Republicans made no commitment to support the request and the House GOP has so far not included the measure in the funding legislation."

No commitment?

Complete abdication of responsibility, more like - a core conservative trait.

Looks like the GOP can't even be bothered to support funding to address problem they played a significant part in creating.

No spines. No surprises.

The TPP is way more than a trade agreement. It's a legal green light for the US to have other countries' laws and regulations rewritten and completely undermine those nations' sovereignty.

No wonder the key details are bring kept under wraps. if they were released, nobody would vote for them!

Trade deal hands US power to rewrite NZ laws

"The US basically claims the right to decide what a country's obligations are under a trade and investment agreement. It then refuses to bring the agreement into force in relation to the other country until that government has changed its laws, regulations and administrative processes to fit the US expectation of what is needed to comply. This certification process can run on for years."

I agree with conservatives and Fox News that Israel's decision to make this land grab is all because Emperor Barack Obama is ramming 'Obamacare' down our throats and running America to ruin.  Oh, and because Obama started the Iraq war, and is completely responsible for the botched withdrawal from that country because George W. Bush signed off on the withdrawal strategy - but it's still ALL Obama's fault!

Bass - "This is the EXACT reason why ISIS is gaining strength because of that liberal pacifist mentality."

Lol!  :-) No, it's the conservative 'bomb-first-ask-questions-later-and-to-heck-with-the-budget-and-Americans' mentality that breeds groups like ISIS.

Conservatives seem completely blind to how bombing innocent people creates enemies and ferments hatred towards America.

Conservatives seem to think bombing foreigners will somehow create a pro-US utopia, and its this complete reality disconnect that ensures conservatives NEVER learn from their past mistakes.

Bass - "Obama does nothing, Europe does nothing, the Iraqi army does nothing and this cancer of ISIS spreads and many foreigners from various countries take a Club Med trip and align themselves with them."

LOL!  bush and the neocons invaded and yeah like that plan worked.

Obama's done the right thing. He's kept things tight, no invasion, costs are way, way lower than the $12.5 BILLION a month the US was pouring down the toilet when bush's invasion was going the same way.

They are beheading everyone, children, religious minorities, even Sunnis and naaaw, has nothing to do with us.

Got to smile at the crocodile tears. :-)

I've got a better idea, use every resource to diminish the threat of ISIS, kill as many as you can, cut spending on all entitlements, fix the healthcare for those that don't have insurance, create more jobs in the private sector, get people working, they will spend, creating and bringing in more taxes and bringing up the economy and the GDP, but this president doesn't get it and never will.

Neither do you. Pie in the sky dreams there. :-)

Bass - "Whatever you say about Bush, like him or not, whatever negative things that the left might utter. This wouldn't have happened under his watch and he wouldn't take a pussy pacifist attitude and dither and keep watching on nightly TV and hear stories about people being ..."

ROFL!! Selective amnesia. :-) bush and his buddies caused massive destabilization throughout the ME, emboldened Iran (by taking out Iraq), created 4.25 million Iraq refugees, and created more anti-US hatred in the ME than ever before.

That worked! (Not..)

Bass - "At this point, being the police as much as I don't like it, would be a better thing and we can always pull in financial resources for that."

And its that mentality that is bankrupting your already massively bankrupt country.

Thanks for the laughs. Appreciate it.  :-)

If this storm is anything like the sudden flash storms that have hit Tokyo and Saitama in recent months, it could be due to the heat island  effect. The mass of rising hot air from major cities hitting the cooler surrounding air has been proven to trigger flash storms and flooding.

IF this is the case, we caused it.

sighclops, "organic" - or "real" food is simply defined the way Zichi said: food grown without additional use of chemicals. For certification, it also needs to be grown in chemical-free soil, too.

sighclops - "The whole organic movement is a marketing goldmine, and not much else."

Perhaps you should start doing some reseach. Food has been grown organically since food production began. It's not a marketing gimmick - it simply produces real food that isn't going to poison people like commercially-grown food does.

Really, it's not rocket science.

sighclops - "In fact, most "organic" food (close to 100%) is produced from Big Agriculture, anyway! Even "organic" crops use herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers."

Sorry, if they have been genuinely certified as organic, and the growers are honest, no artificial herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers will have been used.
