Even so, a poll earlier this month by CBS News found 81% of Americans support the TSA’s use of full-body scanners at airports.

Maybe they should only ask flying Americans.

I am actually happy to see that finally some US citizens stand up against this security madness as it gives hope that fatuousness hasn't yet become part of the American character.

Interesting point. We Americans in fact use "ethnic food" only for non-white countries. I never heard it being used for French or German food.
