I still think the tomb still takes a big chunk of land regardless of burial or cremation...

They are trying to release some of the accumulated steam to prevent from major 'fights' occuring with the ppl they control, seems like the recent blasts truck a nervous sting in their communist chord. Still if they still govern by iron fist and battered peoples freedom, i dont think they will avert the looming fall of the communist power.

Posted in: Desperate Philippine typhoon survivors start looting, dig up water pipes See in context

Japan is also a disaster prone country but it always learn how to be prepared, doing rescue and evacuation drills, identifying high risk areas, education etc.. Considering the same I wonder y Philippine seems to be not doing enough despite it facing typhoon threat every year, it should have been the country on the front line in typhoon disaster management skills...

Posted in: Gov't readies additional Y3 tril for Fukushima clean-up See in context

I would like to praise the 'effort' to mend things (rather than not doing anything principle) however, how effective is this 'clean up' actually? has there been any studies on its effectiveness? what if they do this 'clean up work' just to 'create jobs' or to please people by showing that they are doing something, but what if contaminated land will always be contaminated no matter what is done to it unless the radioactive decayed by itself in time and its actually its just a waste of money?.. I would love to hear a detailed report about this 'clean up' work. I hope the journalists will dig deep into the issue and expose this issue to the ppl.

I like buying through online pharmacy. It saves me all the trouble of going to the pharm, and from being a talking topic by the japanese staffs. Some pharmacist here hv such a loud voice i feel stripped naked without privacy. I hope Mikitani san wins the fight!

Posted in: One dead in blasts near Communist provincial HQ in China See in context

after all the suppression by the chinese gov, it is no surprised the chinese ppl will literally explode. These seems like small signs b4 major uprising in china against the comunist gov. One small spark after another, one place then others, n suddenly ppl realize they can fight the gov.

I am against the killings of innocent lives and also the way the chinese gov suppressed the freedom of its ppl.

Posted in: Gripes over stadium overshadow 2020 Olympic Games euphoria See in context

bigger stadium allows more, more, more ppl to watch the game, im not against this, i for one would be disappointed if i cant enter the stadium if it gets full easily. however it would be nice if they can explain how much money will b used, how the nation (ppl) will get long term benefit from it, make sure it will not become derelict after the game.

the china bird nest stadium was too big and no event organizer wants to use it because of the amount of money that will needed to maintain security with such a big space. If japan can solve this and make it usable for any event it would be wonderful! =)

Posted in: Abe warns China on use of force as jets scrambled See in context

Chinese military is purposely sending a round trip to the border of the japan territory to see how long their war planes take to fly to put into calculations in military attack strategy. Russia does the same thing too. Countries who do this to their neighbor cannot be called as 'friends'. What kind of friend will consider how to attack its friend unless its worst then a true enemy, a hypocrite! (does japan do the same thing too?)

Posted in: Asylum-seeker dies after collapsing at detention center while doctor at lunch See in context

I just googled rohingya and from the looks they are more bangladeshi than they are burmese, cant blame the myanmar gov for considering them as immigrants.

one thing Im always frustrated in japan is its rigidity in following 'procedures'. At some situations decisions need to be made on the spot even if its not in the 'manual'. They should put something like 'follow the method of conduct... except in unexpected situations or emergencies with due immediate consultation with colleagues on consideration of proper actions'

if dont like sound disturbances, dont rent an apartment close to the commercial entertainment district! haha there are reasons why your rent is unbelievably cheep. Stop complaining or move out. Japan night club law is absurd to the max.

Posted in: Stalker hid in closet at girl's home before killing her See in context

If she has proof that she was stalked and threatened, shouldnt it be enough for the police to arrest him immediately? the oral warning and letter seems to be romantic (sarcasm) and out of place when dealing with obsessed lunatics. I say capture them, give them counseling while in prison hopefully they will move on and come out as a new person. If the psychiatrist consider him dangerous then he shouldnt be allowed to be free because someone will definitely become a victim!

Posted in: Hokkaido onsen bars Maori woman over her face tattoos See in context

There are foreigner friendly and tattoo friendly onsens, organizers should have asked first before bringing them...

..But the mind set of many ppl I met working in service industry in Japan is 'do what you were trained to do' and 'stick to the rules' brain programming, so for special cases the 'error' message will come out. Wont listen to reasoning, stubborn and unfair.

which law? one that deprive one's freedom of expression? I have issues with the self righteous war propaganda tv programme, but how about internet sensorship? the professor should have been arrested way much earlier for reading 'would be sensored' contents in Japan. Same goes to millions of other chinese working outside china now.
