And there we have it. The reason why Russia blew up the Kakhovka dam.

What was the reason they blew up Nordstream?

The true state of the vaunted counteroffensive is in the corporate media if one reads between the lines. The UKs Telegraph is warning, "prepare for the counteroffensive to falter" and saying Germany and France can't be allowed to "go wobbly".

Pure propaganda without any links to back it up.

As reported by the BBC it is illegal in Russia to even say how many Russian troops have been killed.

Really? Whatever you say. I'm not interested in chasing up links for you when I agreed with your basic premise. I don't read or take seriously the BBC but I trust you know what you are talking about.

I'm just wondering if you feel those figures for respective losses are favorable for NATO and the AFU?

Posted in: Both sides suffer heavy casualties as Ukraine strikes back against Russia, UK assessment says See in context

According to a BBC investigation, more than 25,000 Russian troops have been killed in this war, and the figure is probably much higher.

https://www.rferl.org/a/russia-ukraine-troop-deaths-25000-mediazona-bbc/32453374.html

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-829ea0ba-5b42-499b-ad40-6990f2c4e5d0

That corresponds pretty well with what the Russians are saying. 25000 Russians to over 350 000 AFU and NATO mercenaries. So about 14 to 1. Do you feel this is favorable for NATO and the AFU?

Good news and bad news for NATO.

Bad news is that the much-vaunted counteroffensive has been a debacle, bordering on catastrophe. It didn't even reach the first defensive line.

Scratch that! One of the highest ranking Ukrainians in NATO's Nasty regime came out last night and said the offensive wasn't actually the offensive, just probing attacks. So NATO sends its most formidable tanks and APCs en-masse for probing attacks....... Interesting.

Good news is that the refugee crisis in Europe is easing rapidly. There are so many Ukrainians entering Russia at the Latvian border crossing, humanitarian organizations have provided tents and makeshift markets have sprung up.

The counter offensive hasn't exactly gone according to plan for NATO but at least Ukrainian refugees are leaving Europe. Latvian state TV is reporting such long lines of Ukrainians trying to enter Russia that humanitarian organizations have provided tents and makeshift markets have sprung up.

Yeah, right. Long range missiles can't blow up a dam.

Really? Well, that would be your little secret. Though you are right to an extent. It would take a very powerful bomb to completely destroy it. The Russians are saying the foundations of the structure is still intact and they won't have to build it again from scratch. Despite the Nasty regime opening up all 4 flood gates in the nearest upstream dam to coincide with the breaching of the dam. Trying to increase the pressure to further damage the dam but apparently it didn't work. At least not yet.

All the available evidence indicates that the Ukrainian / NATO counteroffensive has achieved little, if anything, while sustaining massive losses. The proxy war instigated by US / NATO has been a disaster. Was the plan to bring Ukraine into NATO worth 350,000+ Ukrainian lives, loss of US$ hegemony, massively rising poverty rates in the collective West, failing banks, energy insecurity, 2 environmental disasters (Nord Stream the first but no one knows who did that......... probably Russia.......) ? And of course, the myth of the superiority of Western armor going up in smoke in southern Zaporozhye.

You said mainstream media... This doesn't look like anything close to it.

It was published at first by the "think tank" and then republished in the WSJ.

Posted in: Ukraine claims new gains in early phase of counteroffensive See in context

Actually, Lukashenko said it.

He didn't. Borrell recently said it if the collective West stops arming and financing the Ukraine. That's probably accurate. Or 3 days might be too long.

Former US colonel Douglas McGregor said it's only a question of whether the collective West runs out of money or the Ukraine runs out of men first. The EU is officially in recession, the US is expected to follow very soon (while Russia is growing and that growth is picking up speed). While guys are literally being dragged off the streets in the Ukraine. So at this point, it seems like a close race.

Haven’t seen anything about calls for tactical nukes being delivered to Ukraine.

Then read the Wall Street Journal.

Posted in: Ukraine claims new gains in early phase of counteroffensive See in context

At the beginning of the war, Putin said it would all be over in three days.

No, he didn't. The only record of anyone saying that is USA, rainbow flag saluting general Milley. Senior NATO officials keep trying to make the Russians attack in a way NATO and the Russians keep ignoring them. I don't know why they bother.

The head of the Indian army wrote an interesting op-ed. He said NATO spent 8 years arming and training the Ukraine to defend against mass Russian armored columns looking to break through front lines and go deep into the country. He says the Russians basically flipped the chess board over rather than play and NATO had no back up plan.

Posted in: Ukraine claims new gains in early phase of counteroffensive See in context

Now US reporters in mainstream media (i.e. state) publications are calling for tactical nukes to be delivered to the Ukraine. From this we can can gather two things:

一: The Ukraine and NATO by extension is losing badly.

二: Capitalism is USA and the state of USA economic power is even more rotten than the general public understands.

But for reliable information, I try to ignore social media accounts and avoid Kremlin-based media.

So only CNN, BBC, Fox, NHK and etc? You are no doubt very well informed about the true state of affairs in Ukraine and the rest of the world (sarcasm).

Russia was in control of the dam. There was a huge explosion so not a missile attack. How did the Ukrainians get a massive amount of explosives onto the Russian-controlled dam?

Missile on the already weakened dam from previous attacks Ukraine / NATO had openly boasted about. You really don't know that? I have my doubts. You are programmed to say exactly what the government and media want you to say even though you know it isn't true.

The results are in from the big push into Zaporizhzhia yesterday. 30 NATO tanks, 130-150 NATO APCs and about 3100 Ukrainian and NATO soldiers sent to practice their sieg heil with Bandera. Videos are already out of American and British mercenaries being treated for severe injuries.

On the Russian side, unfortunately 70 soldiers killed. Decent society needs Russian losses to go to zero but still, the days work is about as good as gets considering the forces arrayed against them.

Thanks for update since we dont read here about UA "advances, victories and progress" of their "spring offensive".

3 things we can say about the much vaunted "spring offensive".

一 The commander of Ukrainian might love his swastika decorated gold and diamond bracelet but he didn't want his "kameraden" to charge into suicidal attacks. Thus he has been sidelined, is probably under arrest if he hasn't already been executed.

二 It obviously turned into a summer offensive.

三 The vaunted Leopard tanks burn just as well as all the other "game changers".

You do realise that Russia is capitalist as well, right?

Yes. If or when Russia triumphs over these crazed psychopaths, in some years Russian society will become just as rotten. In theory at least. Capitalism anywhere doesn't exist in a bubble. What happens in one capitalist state affects another.

It's interesting when Putin last met Xi, at the joint press conference he was asked about the strength of Russian-Chinese relations. He replied, "very strong but we both know and discussed what kind of society we live in." i.e. If or when we prevail over these crazed psychopaths, aka "the civilized world" capitalism will eventually compel us to be at each others throats. Both are on record of having studied Marx's basic analysis.

Once this is all over, it should be a century, at the minimum, before Russia should even be considered for a return to the civilised world.

The "civilized world"? What part of the world is "civilized" and who decided the rest is "uncivilized"?

As for the dam, everyone knows Russia wasn't responsible even though a lot of people in the West will say Russia was responsible because that's what the government and press want them to think. Welcome to capitalism in the West, circa 2023. Trotsky demonstrated that within the shackles of capitalism, society couldn't go any other way.

It's only a question of how much autonomy from NATO the regime was afforded. Did NATO directly order it? Did NATO indirectly suggest it? Did some of the furthest of "far right activists" take the initiative? Personally I can't believe the 3rd of those at all. They are never afforded that much freedom. NATO carefully supervises them.

The Russians have released video of the underground passages in Artemovsk / Bakhmut. They are not tunnels infantry could use but roads tanks could use. The Russians will be able to store a lot of ammunition, weapons and food in safety very close to the front.

But I still think they should send 1 million heavily armed men down from White Russia and cut off the Polish border completely. That many will be needed to "dissuade" NATO scum from attacking.

Ok, so none of this happened. Look, seriously, we know that posting against Russia from where you are based is difficult. If you want help to escape, there are avenues you can use.

One avenue I couldn't use is to fly from Russia to Europe, North America or Japan. Also I think a lot of the road crossings are closed. Not because of Russia but because those regimes banned it. Have to go via Armenia or Kazakhstan.

Though the Russians did stop Finns getting visiting for a day, stocking up on food and fuel and going back to Finland. From now Finns will have to get used to freezing and starving. Thank you USA!

Alternatively, You could rejoin objective reality, but that would likely require an intervention.

That is the easiest way to deal with the unprecedented blood-letting the Nasties and their NATO "kamerden" are being given right now is to pretend it isn't happening. Pretend all you like but it won't change the reality.

But I'm wrong to gloat. It's not over yet. Just looking very grim for Ukraine/NATO. News in real time from the front is that the Russians still haven't left their forward defensive positions. It's 3:18 or 4:18 in the morning in the Zaporozhye region right now. Should see video coming out in a few hours.

Not just messages. She also sent organized fundraisers for the invaders.

Thanks for that article. It gets even worse!!!

A man in Hamburg was recently fined €3,000 for displaying the letter "Z" on his car window.

Open fascism is upon us. Trotsky demonstrated that within the shackles of capitalism, governments can't go any other way.

It’s not what the Kremlin tells Russians to think.

Japan is a little better but in most of the collective West (including Germany), what the Kremlin thinks is censored to an unprecedented extent. To think for oneself and say an opinion corresponding to what the Kremlin is saying is a crime!
