BYD's flagship Han is plagued with quality issues and countless are spontaneously combusting on China's roads. Sure, Chinese EVs are growing in numbers but with the reputation of having poor quality, they won't gain traction in the Japanese market where quality-minded consumers will learn and be wary of exploding cars.

Toyota's new CEO is banking on hydrogen to be able to reach a larger market than BEVs. BEVs are attractive to those who have access to a reliable charge source, people who live in single-family homes. Hydrogen reaches more people across the globe. In the meantime, invest in oil because that's still needed to build the future infrastructure.

After Microsoft bought Bungie many many years ago, MS never released Halo's successful franchise to the original platform Bungie got famous from, the Mac OS. The only version that was released for the Mac was the first version of Halo (Combat Evolved); after that, nothing.
So yes, it's possible that MS won't release the Call of Duty franchise to the PlayStation platform.

Japan has only increased a total 3.25% inflation over the last 20 years (2001 - 2021), while the US has gone over 50% (average 2.5% annually). Reference inflationtool.com. One reason why salary/wages still remain the same from 20 years ago.

Dean & Deluca lives on while the founding organization is in bankruptcy in the US. Even the US website only displays their mission statement; nothing else.

Japan's use of Japanese credit cards is quite different than that of other countries, where the consumer determines the number of payments at the time of the transaction. This adds and extra 'step' in a what's supposed to be a one-step simple wave action while your finger is on the home button. By the time you tell the clerk how many months to finance the purchase, you can already reach for the wallet and pull out your credit card and hand it over or insert it for the chip/pin process. Of course this process doesn't apply for non-Japanese credit cards. Good on China to have theirs implemented at the country level.

I'd like to see if there's a correlation between this phenomena and the phenomena related to the demographic of the shrinking young population, specifically since I think this is really a 'cho-nan' mentality. It's those 2nd, 3rd, etc boys that grow up to find and establish themselves (whether domestic or overseas) rather being spoon-fed as the 'cho-nan'.

RIP Mr Bell. I got a chance to meet him a few times to chat as he was a customer at a Rancho Santa Fe bank I was working in back in the early 90s. Thanks for the fast food alternative to burgers.

Those with bags slung over one shoulder walking sideways banging people sitting in the aisle. Those with colds sniffling, sneezing and coughing sitting next to you on a long haul flight. Next time, I should bring masks to offer them. Those that use the front person's chair to balance on their way in and out of their seat. Those that have nervous habits like shaking their legs, tapping their feet throughout the flight. Kids playing with the tray.

I remember a classmate of mine from Sophia University, a Japanese American woman, told me that she was also groped in a not-so-crowded train. She said she turned around and whacked him hard and confronted him in English, in front of everyone. I wouldn't be surprised if he ever did that again.
