I am not anti-vax but I'm against of this as I'm from post-communist country. Nah, no one will bother me with proof when I want have peace and relaxed time. Otherwise I won't go there. I don't care if someone is vaccinated or not. Not my bussiness. That was the reason why to get vaccinated so you wouldn't need to care who got corona around you.

Maybe they should put chip into vaccine after all. :D :D

so no visa means she deserve to die? Really? Who did she harm. Me? No? You? No? Well, nobody really. She broke the rules but there was more to it: DV, bf restraining her and stealing her money. She had no money and place to go, that's how she overstayed her visa. And for comparison that old gentlemen in Ikebukuro got just 5years in prison...he killed two people...still on no visa =death ok? People who are paying tax in Japan should be angry. This should not happen. She should be deported not be dead.

Scorpion

No they lost some reports. Video they have but refuse to show that because: safety policy AND respecting privacy and dignity of Wishma Sandamali. Well, they didn't care of her dignity when she was alive so it surely lookr, they don't want people see what they have done...

No thanks, this hypocrite wants to be first FEMALE PM in Japan. When same time supporting male only succession, traditional woman role etc. Did she lost her uterus on the way or her views apply only to other women but not to her?

With views like that Takaichi shouldn't be in government. She should follow her views at "stay home" to do the traditional role of woman or she lost her uterus somewhere that she doesn't identify as woman now?

It's pathetic when their excuse for no info is: privacy and dignity etc. reason. Same answer (along security reason) used immigration detention in Wishma Sandamali case. Who protected their privacy and dignity etc. when they were alive?! It's little too late...

that's the true. No need to check the numbers. Most of the people won't even get tested because of troubles afterwards: work, kids school etc.

Situation is worse than presented. That's for sure. People dying alone, kodokushi, how many got covid tested? I think none of them. It's hard to say if they died "with covid" or "because of covid" slight difference but they are not doing covid test when autopsy. It's an old knews. (news year ago)

I am not able to get even first jab in city I live. Still, waiting.

...such as eating more desserts and spending more time with pets.

(I do plenty of that at least once a month or when I'm just sad)

??? Seriously, no wonder if mental health is a big issue in Japan.

Girls are driven by hormonal changes so eating more desserts and spending time are kinda normal things. What about people try to talk their kids. Make the connections. Build the trust. Talk with them about situation, future plans etc.

I'm anti-peeler but japanese momo needs to be peel. The skin is harder than peaches have in EU. I wouldn't peel grapes for sure, apples and nashi as well but japanese peaches yes.

Then okay, she was lucky and she made best of the circumstances. As Czech myself I am proud of her.

what you can do is do not participate. My kid annual perfomance. I was told that he refused to practice (dance) but yet they wanted him to be on stage. For what Idk but I said no way and I didn't go. If he would practice and not be perfect it's fine but if they weren't able to make him practice then no stage time needed...he had no graduation ceremony as well. It's up to you what you prioritize. Yes, kids need to learn how to cope with activities they don't like but what's the point having graduation like you graduate from university. Yes koko ha nihon. but yes koko ha gaijin. And yes don't participate on PTA cos I'm busy ✌️

Posted in: Gov't advisers warn Japan's birth rate falling at more rapid pace this year See in context

Ashley Shiba,

I feel you sister but this has nothing to do with low birthrate.

Being single mom may be challenging especially when kid enter shogakou, lots of PTA stuff etc.

But it's easier here to work with small kids here. In my country maternity leave is 3-4years. Place your kid in Nursery school? Almost impossible, leave husband? Till you have Nursery school, no way.

In case DV? bloody hell.

I am single mom in Japan. Not easy. My salary was that time: 160 000-180 000 max and even with that I passed for juutaku loan and have my own house. Can I do the same in my country (in EU) ?nah...

Now having two kids, single (poor choices) good job the only thing is bugging me is how the elementary school is operating (keeping same ways like from the time when every women was house wife)

It's hard, but it's expected to be.

You just ganbare and make the best for your family.

what about starting educating our kids: be nice to EVERYONE. EVERYONE is different and it OK.

Once everyone would live by these problem solved. Most of the people can't really relate to this and all you can do is teach your family how the things should be done.

One "equality mask" won't save the day if you are living in country where you can't tell even parents.

Posted in: Popularity of Harry and Meghan plummets in UK after Oprah interview, poll says See in context

I don't know first they said something about privacy and then going to see Oprah.

Said that they wanted normal life for Archie so no tittle to him, now omg he got no tittle because he may be darker.

talked to the plebs how to act more eco-friendly when using private jets.

well...

even 2nd and 3rd child of William and Kate weren't supposed to have tittle. The Queen made exception for them. So Harry's kids are out of question and they said they don't want one.

When biracial kid is about to be born it's always about: will he looks more like mom or dad? My personal experience. Will European genes beat the Caribbean's...we talked about it, we joked about it. It's normal. BUT I guess depends on context. Can't help it but feeling this goes perfectly fine with BLM agenda.

I wonder if without these claims someone would even bother to watch them...you know everyone is here for the drama...

Funny thing the day I went on maternity leave was the last day for my son at his hoikuen. Since December I did take care of him and since January I take care of him and his baby brother by myself. Till April. Then my older son goes to elementary school. Don't see anything wrong with that. Did the same during "stay home". Kept him home, safe for almost 3months. No problem at all. Unless you make kids to put them at hoikuen instead of raising them as parents do. Woman on maternity leave should keep her child at home. My personal opinion. (Raising kids as a single parent )

Same for hoikuen these senior care homes have waiting list. Most people can't get there. They have day service for seniors so when family members are at work they are picked up by car and taken to these day services. Weekends, nights family has to care. Or there is caregiver visiting senior at home. That's all. Most seniors don't make it into senior care homes even they would like to go there.
