again someone who believe that what is serving J-gov as "real numbers" is the truth. Well, good luck to you.

thanks for sharing. People with the brain could figure it out without article as well. Death rate is not correct. Can't be. Many people die alone and are discover weeks after passing away and that they don't test people who died on covid is well known. They go with logic: if it can be something else than covid, it's something else...

they are manipulating numbers. It's impossible to have over 300 infected from 1000tests and than pretty similar number (plus minus 70 is nothing in population of millions) from from 5000 or 6000test. It's simple impossible. Now I think we got more likely the real number almost 500 from almost 1300 test.

zichi

sorry, that's not what I meant.

mother tongue is one's native language not talking about British English as the main English. Here in Japan mainly talk about the spelling and pronunciation happens between US and British nationals.

For me as the non-native English speaker it's always annoying because 80%spoken English is non-native so from my perspective it really doesn't matter if you are able to understand what the text or conversation is about.

in Japan you can meet very proud English native speakers who are so "sad" that your English is not perfect. Usually if you ask them how many languages do they speak, the answer is always the same: one- my mother tongue. Splendid.

more tolerance would be nice ...

zichi:

" I don't get that hung up over Engrish. "

this depends on if you are native or non-native English speaker and if native if you speak one language or you are multilingual.

usually those lucky to be borned in English speaking country and being proud of speaking just native language are less tolerant to Engrish and pronunciation etc.

the worst thing you can get into as non-native English speaker is fight between US and British nationals over spelling and pronunciation. Really mendokusai.

Posted in: Tokyo reports 374 new coronavirus cases; nationwide tally 1,685 See in context

nah...

1000 tests and 300 positive THEN

7000 tests and similar number 390 NOW over 6000 and still similar number.

with the logic: : "if you test more, you will have more cases" this is strange. ( plus/minus ) 80 people plus is not really increase in population of millions of people.

my guess: tests are always 1000(plus/minus) and then they just add 5000 or 6000 imaginare tests (negative of course) and here you go. Numbers will be similar over 300 but under 400 not big deal, ne...

if you have 300 from 1000 you got almost one third people sick.

if you have 390 from 7000 it's way less. Your logic is failing here. "More tests=more covid case" doesn't seems to work here. I mean there should be way more cases from 7000cases. I do think they do manipulate the tests numbers. Always when less testing shows big number the next day they get similar number from 5-6times bigger amount of test.

logic: test more and you will find more should work but in Japan is not working and I don't simple believe, that there are not sick people but someone manipulates with number in purpose not to spread panic.

they got 319 from over 1000tests and now 393 from 7000 tests.

why one day they test 1000 and the other day 7000. And if they have more tests they should have more cases but the number is pretty similar. It's strange and hard to believe it.

3rd wave haha...admiting that there was the 2nd...nice

well, for those with "no deaths or how many deaths" argument if numbers of people who tested positive are too low for this big nation. Do you still believe that they are reporting deaths properly doing autopsy on every dead person? Really?

my country is kinda special. Having 3years maternity leave. Nursery

and KG for free. Having plenty choices of kindergarten and minimum kids on waiting list. It's hard to compare. Tough environment in Japan is causing people not to want have kids.

Now I am expecting my second child and Nurseries not being able to do tours sounds like wonderful news to me...

i hate these tours. Most of cities are forcing you to do that. To me check the website is enough. I am nursery teacher in Japan and I can tell you that behaviour of the teachers during the tour and during normal day are two different things.

I moved from one city to other, during the school year. Single mom. Forced to do tour during working days, 8schools and my child wasn't accepted in them. I end up to go shigai (what a waste of time). In my case everywhere is okay if it's safe for child and I can work without worries. It sounds like you have plenty schools to choose when reality is you will take the one they give you.

yes, you can write your preferences but in the end of the day your child is going where is place.

so what? yet you read every single article about it and comment same.

if it would be "so what" you wouldn't even bother to read it and comment on it. I am pretty sure that if one of those who tested positive was your family member you wouldn't go and say "so what" right?

you can not be serious.... I get it that you sympatize with all mothers who killed or tried to kill their babies...Regardless their status and circumstances: married/single mom, working/unemployed, trying drown or choke baby...trying to get rid of the child, leave child unattended and go work, leave child in the car and go to host club etc. you have been always in their place regardless circumstances...You can not be in shoes of every woman, it´s simple impossible even you write such comment under every single article related to this topic...Only one click on your nick and I just counted about 5 such comments...Sorry I don´t buy what you are selling.

she is married woman, who told husband that she is taking kids to parents' house so she could go to host-club. It was her hobby. Husband have his company, he was at home and had no idea what his wife was doing. She was spending night at male-friend house. Not working mother. Not single mother. Just young selfish woman. That's all. She could leave kids at parents' house but they wouldn't be so happy to see her having fun 4times a week, that's why she left kids in the car.

this is typical for culture of rather die than "losing face"...

based on this article what Abe says, what Koike says, what doctors and everyone says.

no lock down, but stay home. (keeping OH no matter what)

stay home but Go to trouble is still on...(it's dangerous but not that dangerous apparently no deaths, so what? -sarcasm)

i don't like many things in my country but when it comes to corona, all people who are entitle to make the talk about it go same direction.

i know most of the posters feel safe over no deaths. I think this will change in autumn/winter when cold, fewer, influenza will be actual. I am guessing if this happen most of the posters will go just "ups"
