Mr. Trump had a student deferment; he didn't run from anything. NOW Bernie Sanders on the other hand ran to a kibbutz in Israel when his student deferment expired and his conscientious objector application was rejected in 1967...

Hey liberal snowflakes, keep talking about Mr. Trump supposed "war on women" so lets talk about Bubba and Monica OR the rapist she defended who raped a 12 year old and almost beat to death. BTW, Hillary called the 12 year old a "mentally ill slut" (her words) during the trial. Nice. You want her to be President?

Most actors & actresses in Japan just want to be on variety shows where they get paid just to ask stupid questions and laugh. Further, many singers here cross over to acting -- could you imagine Lady Gaga as a police detective??

@bass4funk: you should know by now for liberals the facts don't matter and this site is just nest for libs to validate their own insecurities. Posted in: NRA breaks silence, pledges to help prevent future gun massacres See in context

Couple of incidents come to mind: 1) knife-wielding guy in NYC shot dead by police and 2) the guy who started eating that homeless person. All the news casts said they were crazy, and didn't say anything about addressing the bigger issue as I mention in my earlier post. When a crazy person kills people with a gun, immediately the focus is on gun control -- now that's what I call deflection. Remember, the gun laws in Connecticut worked; the Lanza went to a gun store with the intent to buy a gun but walked out when he was told there would be a background check.

Posted in: NRA breaks silence, pledges to help prevent future gun massacres See in context

No one wants to address the mental health issues in America; its just as important as gun control. Vitually all the mass killers were perpetrated by mentally unstable people. Over the last 2 decades states have closed most of their psychiatric facilities and turn patients loose with a hand full of pills. Basically society has a distain of institutionalizing people and they high cost has forced states to just turn them loose on society with many of them being ticking time bombs. Hollywood-types and politicians don't want to talk about mental health issues since its too complicated and frankly beyond their intelligence level.

Unfortunately, even if a ban on assault weapons goes into effect these incidents will be with us for the next 20+ years due to the amount of assault weapons out there now. In the case of this shooter the system in place worked--he tried to buy a gun and was told there was a three day wait, so he walked out without making a purchase--seems like his mother (a prepper nut) had an arsenal in the house...

Posted in: Prospects brighten for Susan Rice to succeed Clinton See in context

What a joke. Broker a Middle East "Deal" its more like "The Price is Right" since we pay the Palestinians to stop fighting -- that's an undeniable fact. I will state it again, the SOS has virtually no authority. Every negotiation concession/point has to be cleared by the POTUS. Besides, how many "deals" have been brokered since the 70's and those people are still killing each other -- so much for your "face-to-face" meetings....

Posted in: Prospects brighten for Susan Rice to succeed Clinton See in context

So it looks like Obama wants to give the job to one of the players for taking the rap on Benghazi. It’s a silly job anyway and basically has no relevance in a world with instant communications like email and video conferencing. Besides, the SOS has no power, they are just a (overpaid) messenger – just eliminate the messenger and talk directly to the people with the power and influence. Or better yet, why doesn’t Obama make Beyonce or Nicki Minaj SOS at least they will be able to lie with style…

Posted in: Obama stands firm on taxes for the rich See in context

Pay their fair share????

The top 5% of income earners pay 80% of the federal income tax now -- how much more do you want from them?

Yes, I am one of those rich, angry old white men. I'm not angry that Obama won and Romney lost; I'm angry that there are a large percentage of people living in America who expect me to give them money because they have different color skin than me, or they are too lazy or stupid to get a job, or they expect free medical care, free food, free housing and free cell phones. And before you self-righteous posters start giving me the negative ratings, how about proposing solutions like improving worker skills to fill hi-tech jobs, how to improve student test scores in math & science (so we can be competitve in the global economy) and how to lower healthcare costs (how about a fat tax on all the blimps in the US) If we don't solve these basic problems in four years we will be like Greece....

Posted in: Romney breaks silence to accuse Obama of bestowing gifts for ballots See in context

Well, its true all you liberal posters who think health care is an entitlement -- its not. If you didn't pay for it -- you are not entitled to it.

There is no Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative; there are now just people who want free stuff and people who have to pay for it -- that is a fact -- that is why Obama won and Romney lost. Across party lines "takers" voted for Obama. So yes, Obama ran a brillant campaign dividing Americans and promising "gifts" to certain groups, but he is using a credit card to pay for it and we all know the interest credit card companies charge. As Wolfpack stated: "the worst is yet to come" especially when the "takers" will have to start paying their share -- soon there will be no more free lunch....
