a buck an hour? trump it up to communism that you could earn nothing. but i'll still consider the lower costs to live there as an offset to earning only a buck an hour. yet, i don't think the world envies China and her well known reputation as a poor country. may be someday it'll change, but only after a long time because a buck an hour has a long way to go...

as a nisei i can say this frankly, Japan may be advanced technologically, but politically the country is in the stone ages... other orientals just like themselves are not accepted. they can even look and smell exactly alike, but once their backgrounds are known it's out the window for them. even Brazilian expats are rejected. it's the reason why Japan lost Asia, there was no Greek-style democratic philosophy to begin with...

Posted in: What's your view on whether or not the U.S. government should bail out the Big 3 automakers? See in context

oh no, watch Japan bashing go through the roof again. they'll start sledge-hammering Toyotas and Hondas to pieces like they did in the 80's and early 90's. throw in some isolated murders of Japanese look-alike ethnic Asians, too.

there's nothing but contempt here for the trio. take the GM Volt for example. since Germany and Japan are so resource strapped, it's only natural that they excel at fuel economy. plus, they pay for their gas in U.S. dollars, not Yen or Marks.

contrast GM's brash and crass me-above-you bad-ass attitude with Toyota's patient, humble, consistent approach to economy cars. all of a sudden GM is bragging about being number one on fuel economy with the Volt. mr. number one.

money is greed, and vice versa. that's capitalism, and his achilles heal can be taken asunder from time to time.

unless a genuinely utopian system arises, probably not likely for another several thousand years, not with these human animals, i don't see how the boom/bust, wild roller coaster ride could end... just hang on, here's the next peak! aaaahhhhh-(SCREAM-HOLLER) <--- add your own shriek.

this doesn't surprise me. if the U.S. was invaded, then this would be happening to the occupier far more frequently, like all the time.

Philippinos get treated like _hit in the U.S. my Philippino roomate once noted that all the girls stateside wouldn't even look at an oriental.

more the reason to throw them out for good.

Asians will get along just fine. it's called the Asian Union (A.U.). and the African Union (A.U.)? the identical abbreviation is intentional.

Posted in: Obama's election spurs hundreds of race threats, crimes See in context

that's why the Eurasian Union (E.A.U.) will succeed where the U.S. has failed. our integration will occur very gradually, very slowly over 10 to 20,000 years. remember the story of the rabbit and the turtle? rabbit lost.

there's a bipolar disorder present in the U.S. it's a 'you're an indian' and a black/white mindset that pervades the citizenry. it doesn't help when your country is founded on a crime against humanity, i.e. taking lands and forcefully evicting native peoples who've been there for at least seven thousand years or so.

just because the us is hurting doesn't mean the others have to. does it make sense for the rest of the earth to decline simply because the us is? people in the us live in grossly large homes largely detached from each other and the greater world they live in. should this planet place them at the center of it all, a minority of 300mil. out of six billion??

Tamura is a slave of the U.S. he should go and be a male cheerleader for them. might as well realize that J-girls are taken by a ratio of 1000 to 1 compared to a Japanese guy getting, ow, next to nothing over there in the states. so tamura, go there and see for yourself.

Posted in: Bank of Japan injects Y2.5 tril into markets as Lehman Japan also files for bankruptcy See in context

the game works like this: hype up your company, over-capitilize it by stock sales crediting your 'additional paid-in capital', and give yourself a BIG FAT SALARY. if the company sales do just slightly well, or some other development/news can justify hyping the company further, then your stock goes up thru the roof, and while you're at it, SELL SELL SELL for your stock options.

then poof! it's all just a house of cards.
