Posted in: 'Abenomics' boosts returns at Japan's huge public pension fund See in context
Japans public pension fund, the worlds largest, recorded investment gains of $56 billion in October-December..
October through December. Okay. Got it.
The funds performance was helped largely by Prime Minister Shinzo Abes aggressive reflationary fiscal and monetary policies...
His policies from October through the end of December? Really? The election wasn't until 16 December, and Abe didn't assume office until 26 December 2012. So.. "Abenomics" is capable of time travel? Or did he do it all in during the 2-1/2 business days remaining in 2012 when he took office?

The WHO can't do anything regarding health issues linked to nuclear power with permission from the International Atomic Energy Agency which exists to promote nuclear power. Plus, Fukushima health officials said that 44% of the kids tested with ultrasound already had thyroid anomalies. So, NO I don't trust the WHO's report and belive the true number of victims is being undercounted.

Did this guy shave his head? B) Someone affiliated with a Japanese boy band is dating GIRLS? C) Japan Today is actually providing a link to something related to the subject?!?! Over my three years living all over Japan, I can recall numerous incidents involving a stalker, or a “chikan” (groper) on crowded trains or empty streets. Those Japanese men are usually curious or obsessed with foreign women, they’re mentally unstable, and the experience is terrifying and unsettling.
Uhm.. that sounds like the opposite of, "Moving to Japan as a single foreign woman is quite safe".

Yeah, because if anything balances an aggressive, million-member military, it's a nation of crabby old men with jet black hair dye lording over a nation of grass-eating anime addicts.

Who can blame her? I cry real tears when Miike make movies. Chugoku no Chohin was pretty interesting, but the buckets of fake movie blood that he's known for are just crap. 50-years from now, no one is going to say, "Hey, remember when Takashi Miike did a bunch of movies with buckets of fake blood and gore?"
And let's be really, really honest: When people claim that Miike is their favorite Japanese Movie Director, they're really saying that Takashi Miike is the Japanese movie director that they've heard of.

Of course Chinese people want Obama to win. They need Mitt to stay in the business of outsourcing US jobs to China. If Romney were president, he wouldn't have time to do things like forcing American workers to train their Chinese replacements before sending the jobs to China.

Romney was the faster and louder speaker. Obama, who reportedly doesn't like nor respect Romney, looked annoyed to have to defend his first term against this overgrown fratboy. The real news is that Romney backed away from his own tax policy, a MAJOR flip-flop. And right after the debate, his handlers came out and reversed most of what he said, especially when it came to pre-existing conditions on healthcare, they're coming back in a Romney presidency. And if you've got one, you're not getting healthcare.

I hope that the people who claim that suicides are "selfish" aren't the same ones who gleefully demand the death penalty for seemingly every infraction, or criticize those who meet their ends through misadventure.
Suicide isn't easy. Everything about the human psyche is wired to a survival instinct. And it's freaking horrible that a young girl and a man are so lost in darkness (caused by who knows what.. crime? rape? bankruptcy? disease?) decides to end it.

You WANT a return to "pre-existing conditions"?

The liberal Asahi Shimbun said “ignorance” and “unappreciation” about the regimes and culture of each other have contributed to deteriorating relations.
Sure, Oyaji Ishihara picked the precise wrong moment to pull that "buy the islands" stunt. China is undergoing a change in leadership, and as the new regime comes in China has to prove that it is strong and cannot be taken advantage of.
Hard to believe that Ishihara didn't know this, since it's been in the friggin' news for A YEAR. Did he really think America would come roarin' into battle for this?
