The day Ghosn abandoned his mate Kelly and fled like a coward was the day Ghosn signed his guilty plea. What a disgrace he is to all expats in Japan. Pathetic doesn't come close to what he is

Well, at this rate we're never gonna get rid of racism if we keep using politically incorrect terms like "African-American"...

Is the term "African-American" controversial in America?

Is anyone here besides you trying to compare this to the US situation? I don't think so. That doesn't mean it's not racist.

I'm not saying it's not racist or anything like that, and not trying to draw parallels to the US situation, but wanted to know the mood around this problem. Like, would it be something that may turn to open protest at some point, etc. Anyway, never mind.

Simple. They'll protest their rights by a) Leaving, or b) not coming in the first place.

Meeker than the protesters in America then. Presumably because things aren't nearly as bad as over there.

Hearing a lot of accusations of "systemic racism" in Japan. I wonder, will the supposedly oppressed non-Japanese minority protest their rights and dignity like in the US, or will they sacrifice their pride and dignity and meekly endure? I don't ever recall hearing about a protest like that before..

Nobody cares about what is your sympathy for him.

Why are you getting so triggered and even responding to me then? He is guilty as hell and so happy today he is back in jail. Think I'll be happy for a decade at least too haha

Even Renault is turning on him and the French are investigating him. I have no sympathy whatsoever for the man. Conspiracy theories of him being set up are ludicrous to say the least and thankfully the prosecutors here aren't that silly

Wow his crimes must really be bad to get this sort of treatment. Can't wait until the trial in 6 months time to hear how deep he's dug himself into

This is a good and practical step by Japan, they should follow the Nordic whaling nations for better and more sustainable whaling. The IWC has no legitimacy whatsoever

As if America doesn't do the same types of military training themselves. Good on China for taking leadership in the world. They have proven themselves far more open, liberal, and protective of human rights than America
