Interesting that all of these accidents happen at apartment buildings. This should be investigated.

Posted in: Woman arrested for putting plastic bag over 3-year-old son's head See in context
She is 25 years old and unemployed? How does she support her 2 children and husband? No wonder she is frustrated. Of course this doesn't excuse the suffocation of her son. I have a strange but firm belief that vomitting is a sign that someone is not feeling well, so punishment seems a strange way to help them. Especially a 3 year old. Maybe she is not feeding them healthy food, which may also account for her inability to think clearly.

The boy must share some guilt in this matter. How can you just punch and slap an iniocent person 6 times if they have no guilt?

I wonder why they bullied such a girl so her father becomes so violent? Or maybe, the father is violent to the girl at home and then she gets bullied at school. I hope he is nice to her at home, so we can empathize with him and view his act as a sincerely loving father who hates bully-boys. I do not like them. But why so violent? Maybe he is violent person who also scares the daughter. Maybe he is unemployed and is really frustarted and hates boys.

Although I agree that some people don't like 9 year olds, that does not make it OK to kick the face.

Posted in: Police arrest 16-year-old boy over knife attacks in Chiba, Saitama See in context
I think teenagers have a much higher probability to change than do older people, so although it is very serious and there must be consequences for these crimes, it is irresponsible of us to treat such young people as adults when they do something we do not like and our sensibilities are hurt. We admit they are different and not full and matured members of society in so many ways, yet take the easy way out when they commit crimes and say they must be treated as adults. They are not adults, psychologically, physically or socially, and it is hypocritical of us to demand so when it suits us best. They are not in control of their environments nor do we allow them control, so they deserve the chance to correct themselves. Japan, do not listen to Americans please. They have a horrible justice system with thousands of young people languishing in adult prisons with little or no hope for rehabilitation. Do not listen to Americans.

Sad. For sure this is a mental health issue. Attacks against women and girls is so common in our world, men need to figure out what is wrong with the male brain.

How can you charge someone with murder for something that is only 11 days old? This makes no sense at all. Probably infanticide should be a separate crime.

I loved the food in Paris, and loved being able to sit outside so often. Tokyo has great restaurants and is probably the best for international cuisine. Too bad about the smoking.

I think the pollster must be a flower-child from the 60's. My vote is Guns n' Roses (of the early 90's, not now).
