@Vanessa Carlisle

Maybe police should be every where at once. Would someone please create the technology for that?

That’s why you have what they call a police “force”.

So they can be many places at once

I wish people would just stop handing out trash altogether. Sometimes, yeah, it’s convenient to get tissues, but 9 times out of 10, I’d rather they just let me walk in peace and save the box loads of wasted paper.

But, now, in a pandemic, get real. I’m surprised this is even allowed.

But still, over 5000 deaths proves that herd immunity is an unattainable target.

That doesn’t prove that immunity is unattainable. All it proves is that achieving her immunity requires huge sacrifices that most are not willing to accept.

I believe her immunity would work, but s as I stated, how far is one willing to go. Nothing is free.

Also, viruses do merge, but does that mean your immunity is limited to the first version? I don’t know

Posted in: Debate begins for who's first in line for COVID-19 vaccine See in context

Understandably bracing myself for all the negative comments after this controversial idea, but here it goes…

first and foremost I entirely agree that the volunteers Who got dummy shots get first priority.

After that, forget the old people. They may be the most vulnerable, but they’re exactly that. Vulnerable, and nearing the end of the line. Focus on the babies and kids who would have to suffer the consequences and side effects for the rest of their lives after catching a virus that we don’t know anything about.

Then,

Consider geography and give priority to people where an outbreak is hitting hardest.

No. Consider the geography, yes. But not necessarily where an outbreak is hitting hardest, but start with affected countries that are least able to handle an epidemic due to war, crumbling economy, etc. Say, Syria, Yemen...

Why should the US get priority if they didn’t bother to do anything about it in the first place?

Oh, get rid of hankos, faxes, and in-person meetings. Hire people to investigate large businesses and enforce work from home.

Many who lost their jobs could be hired through temporary contacts in the postal or shipping systems, by shops to enforce social distancing

Posted in: Do you think the Japanese government should impose another state of emergency for all of Japan to try and contain the coronavirus, and if so, how should it be different from the last one that ended on May 25? See in context

All non-essential businesses shut, masks to be worn indoors mandatory, ENFORCED social distancing.

All shops if a certain size must employ at least 1 person (could be present staff) just to enforce social distancing. Limit the number of people allowed inside at the same time.

...but, they won’t do this, because according to Aso, the superior people of japan are, well superior, and therefore unaffected, and that’s why we’re well on the way to be like the US or Brazil, India, Mexico, with too much of the virus floating around that even if you decide to do something about it, it’ll be too late.

Good luck guinea pigs!

This is hilarious, but I feel bad for all the leaders of the world in the spotlight amid this crisis. Is he wearing a mask? What kind of mask? Did he rub his nose? If so, how did he manage it?

As just another Jane Doe, I felt weird putting on a mask for the first time, it would have been much more difficult while being surrounded by the paparazzi

I really don’t as the big deal about the falls alarm. I got a bit nervous, pulled over, waited about 2 minutes, then carried on, thinking about what I could have done better.

Should I have undone my seatbelt and gone next to my baby in the back seat? Should I have unbuckled her too? just in case? Pulled over a bit further down the road where there were less power lines?

It was a learning experience.

Definitely not an embarrassment in japan’s behalf. 3 false alarms since 2007? How many mistakes gave you made at work since 2007? Get real people.

There only embarrassment I see here is on behalf of Oedo line
