uninterrupted high-quality voice calls
While I love LINE, and appreciate the free calls, and support the company by purchasing various stamps etc, I would not say the call feature is uninterrupted nor high-quality.
I am not complaining about it, because it is free, but this article is more of an advertisement than a news article

I am so sick of Obama sticking his head into every other countries issues.
I understand how 'some' US politicians actually do wanna police the world to make it a better place, and I am grateful for those people. But, this is an issue for the Ukraine and their people, and Russia and the US need to stay out of it. IF they ask for international support, then it should come from the world as a whole, not just one country.
I am not anti-American, I am just anti-any politician who doesnt help ease a situation and instead inflame it even more, aka Obama and friends

There are "at least a few". In fact, there are lots of snow removal vehicles in some of the affected regions. The snowfall in some areas was 30 times that of a normal year! Most municipalities don't have the funds to have hundreds of bulldozers sitting idle.
Who said anything about hundreds of bulldozers? Talk about talking out of context and exaggerating geez.....

Posted in: Snowstorm leaves 19 dead; 6,900 trapped in small communities See in context
Why would an area that rarely gets more than about 5cm of snow at any one time have a huge number of snow plows on standby?
At least a few should be on hand in case of emergencies like this. While it is understandably why some people would get caught out unexpectedly, the government should not.

Bag searches wont find second passports if you keep them on you.
And they wont get detected by metal detectors, and they dont care if you are carrying two on you.
Its not the security guards job to see your passport, thats Customs. And during customs, they dont frisk you so

Thanks for the info Laguna,
I know a Japanese national that recently become an Australian citizen, but still holds both passports and uses both,
Another friend, uses the Australian passport when entering and leaving Australia, then the Japanese passport when entering and exiting Japan.
Boggles my mind how they are allowed to do this....

From NHK news: http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/english/news/20140213_22.html?play Record cesium level in ground water now at Fukushima
And quote Tepco
TEPCO suspects the leakage point is near the new well because radioactive cesium is easily absorbed into soil and is unlikely to be carried over a wide area in groundwater.

I never knew there was only one "route" from Narita to Tokyo. Since that line was covered in snow, a large number of people were stranded at Narita. Surely they would have back up plans, such as a convoy of buses to transport people?

according to Miyata’s family, she had gone out after her cat which had run away from home.
That doesnt mean that is the reason why she was killed. Who knows what happened as soon as she left the house. We have no idea if there was foul play or other forces involved.

Umm,
I dont understand this poster at all.
There are very few gun crimes in Japan already If someone pulled a gun, every Japanese and his dog would go running for cover, hell if someone even pulled a pocket knife it would take a very brave soul to try to stop them. I am not criticising the people, it is just that people here tend to avoid any kind of confrontation. That being said, what is the purpose of the poster?
