Whats interesting to me is how for the last 20 years I’ve been back here, usually both governments have been driving wedges, and using the media to demonize the other.

Now suddenly we and Korea are mending things and playing all nice?

It seems that Japan and Korea need each other a lot more now.

Welcome to Japan.

Ironically after covid, the only country to have a hard time letting go…

Its been so ideal being able to hide my face everyday, I don’t know how I will be able to go without one from now.

Japan responds to China…

Thats precisely the intention, you big bully. For you to feel uncomfortable bullying me.

People tend to bully the strong less.

Everyone seems to love masks here in Osaka. Walking along on their own 10 at night nobody in sight, but masked up.

I feel like its just a good way to be more of an introvert as well.

Yubaru the Swallows are a pro team, your opinion on that point…why even bother picking it?

And the point isnt that its beyond salvaging.

Other developers want to turn it into a tightly packed Japanese city block to make them richer but the people think its beautiful. If the other old buildings and temples and landmarks get a fat check to upkeep it, why not this?

It may be cheaper than tearing it up and building 2 glass skyscrapers and also cutting down trees

I’m sure that with it being a local corruption case, we can get a few bows in, send none of the big boys to jail, have something else come into play as a distraction, and mission accomplished.

I do not think that when I see someone jacked. Having spent the majority of my life in gyms and doing sports, he simply looks unnatural to me.

He also has a big fat gut and yet veins popping out his huge arms and the classic roid face. It changes how ur face looks sometimes.

I think us in Japan are well aware that Japan is a vassal of the USA and does what its tood to reap the benefits.

Its a rich mostly free (for the peoples) US controlled Ally. But atm Japan has to be.

We literally have to re arm via and house and feed the US army.

Former President Medvedev one may argue is in a position where he in a year or two is more likely to be in danger.

Wonder why the government isn’t concentrating fully on the elderly and those with medical conditions at this point.

I work in education and have seen personally hundreds get infected, but in Japan its 99% the elderly and ill that die.

Most others are good after a week, vaxxed or not.

They USE and depend on volunteers because they have no program.

Then they complain about the program set up and run by volunteers? There should be nothing but thanks for them, and I think, utilization of their skill.

Posted in: Volunteers taking outsized role in Japanese language support See in context

In this article they kind of bad mouth the volunteers. They are the best as they are carrying (as the complaining teacher said) most of the work load, and for free.

The problem is that these people aren’t being compensated and actively recruited to help even more.

Since theres not a lot of money to be made here it wont get support
