In my opinion this is really not a derogatory or otherwise miserable term. It seems to me that its hip to be half for lack of a better term. These kids have the best of both worlds and certainly they can use this to their advantage even if in some circles their maybe negative connotations. I knew this guy. He was a top man and showed us around the mountains on my second trip to Niseko. Really had a zest for life and rubbed off on all around him. The incident happened in the Haru no Taki area of Niseko Annapuri resort. RIP Sam - thanks for your time in looking after us up there ! See ya gain bro !
