@Kazuaki Shimazaki

Chinese is on the same line on 'sovereignty'. They have same feeling as Japanese towards northern islands and Dokdo. So that is NOT 1-0 value, it is only (-1)-(-1) value, because both countries will become losers.

If you always dream of war, you are not any better than the 'bad' CCP when it comes to peace and war.

What can you do if Chinese Jets cruise above the island? Start a war by shooting them down? Otherwise how are you going to raise the threshold?

Negotiation involves 'give and take'. There is no way even to start any meaningful negotiation if you are not prepared to give. You can ask any boss of any big companies to confirm this.

Negotiation is the only way to resolve conflict among countries peacefully. If he declared he wanted to improve relationship on one day, and he vowed not to give any ground on the other, then he gave contradicting declarations logically. His sincerity should be questioned.

Mr Abe, instead of worrying about political issue being spilt into economy, you are better to think about spilt into military.

Japan has difficult road ahead. However, it won't be long for Abe.

The frequency with which Japanese PMs are coming in and moving out of office not only troubles US, it also trouble China.

Suppose:

Chinese president Xi writes to Abe: Dear Abe, let's talk about our relationship.

Japanese Foreign Minister writes back to Xi: Dear Xi, Abe is no longer our PM...

Whether there will be winners in this 'conflict' is not yet known.

There are clearly some 'losers':

Those Japanese who are friendly towards China.

Those Chinese who are friendly towards Japan.

Oh, those war mongers are winning out on both side. Better to get ready for next 'BIG' thing.

Hypothetically, when Chinese fighter jet does fly into that region, what can you do? Make 'plane bumping'? Or open fire first?

Japan scrambled fighter jets and protested to China in response.

The Chinese plane was fishing control plane, NOT a fighter jet. Its defense force already announce that if same thing happens again, it will send fighter jet instead of fishing control plane. I am not optimistic about the future.

What you are talking about is exactly opposite of facts.

I really doubt if you can find Japan and China on google map.

The best message to the Chinese Communists is to sink one of their ships if enter Japanese waters again and turns it in artificial reefs.

It shows to me that there are many war maniac, plus hypocrites.

I don't like the Russian government, but at least Putin get one thing right: No territory changes hand without going through a war.

Disputes with Japan have created a unlikely, totally unexpected, unofficial alliance - China (and Taiwan), Russia, S Korea. This 'alliance' makes the life of Uncle Sam very difficult as well - to support or not to support in the event of conflict.

OssanAmerica

Mao is a huge monster, one of the biggest, but he is not worshiped, except by those diehard, devious communists.

Do you think only those diehard, devious, anti-human and war addictive followers in Japan will honor war criminals?

The ghosts of war criminals are lingering around those islands...Their followers are soul searching to justify their ultimate persistence...Their souls are still burning in hell, along with Hitler and ...

Resurfaced

It is your choice to do the right things. It is others' responsibility to teach correct histories, to condemn immoral behaviors, to prepare for the worst, etc. Japan will never become a 'normal' country as it has been seeking, as long as it continues honoring war criminals and lying in the textbooks.

Don't forget: You are free to make choices, but you are responsible for your own choices.

Behavior speaks louder than word. As long as war criminals are honored, I don't believe that Japan can leave history behind. I don't believe Japan will still be 'peaceful' were there not American army. In short sentences, 'American make Japanese peaceful'.

The US sits down with 2 allies and accomplishes nothing but a misleading and self-serving headline. Meanwhile, it merely sits on its hands when it comes to China and the Senkakus. Forward!!

Uncle Sam will make good use of this chance to irritate China, and maybe able to extract something valuable.

Japan is at fault for distracting S Korea from more urgent issues, by challenging sovereignty over those islands, by teaching false history to its people, by refusing to apology sincerely over its committed crimes...much more...According to my own internationally recognized studies.

Let's stop pretending that:

Japan and SKorea are closest allies.

Two democracies would not have head on collisions

All Japan's troubles are caused by PRC.

PRC is a bad country that runs into trouble with every other countries. At least, relationship with S Korea at this stage is quite good, and is getting better in fact.

As far as I know, PRC is only seeking to settle the case through negotiation, so that black mails, mud, eggs etc can be thrown in private space. Why the hell are people talking about? Do they mean PR war?
