Thankfully, I have an exceedingly generous trust fund and take a long-term view of the world economy
I'm not old money like you, but I've managed to save about 200 million yen. Do you think that will be enough?

i hate to admit it, but Trump has a point. I'm tired of buying crap that quickly wears out (Uniqlo isn't what it used to be). I don't care if it's cheap. I would be happy to pay more for products that aren't made by exploited workers.

Thanks -- great clip. It may be a bit controversial, but this is how the UK should treat the illegal immigrants.

I think these criminal gangs including such as Yakuzians can only exist if the politians collude with them, otherwise such mafias can't survive in the face of so powerful states.
That may have been true in the distant past. But the idea that the LDP is collaborating with Chinese and Vietnamese gangsters is a bit of a stretch for a party that basically hates foreigners and would be happy if we all went back to wherever we came from.

Marriage is a gift that makes the slings and arrows of life not only bearable, but beautiful!
Why restrict yourself to one partner? Our time on Earth is short, and there are a LOT of possibilities out there. POLYGAMY is a gift that makes the slings and arrows of life not only bearable, but beautiful!

Please stop using the word "debate" for this kind of interchange. Someone asks a question and the PM reads out the answer prepared by his aides. That's not a debate.

The brutal truth is that old people are happy if they have money. It breaks my heart to see old folks counting out their coins to pay for items in stores. The Japanese government pension is pathetic.

Japan can solve the problem overnight by revoking its own tariffs. Trump would love that. We won't have to pay stupid prices for rice either -- just import the stuff.

Is it Hakamada or Hakamata? The confusion over the spelling of his name may explain why the J-cops got the wrong man.

My girlfriend narrowly escaped being murdered by the Aum nutjobs on her way to work. Many of the cult members were graduates of Japan's best universities -- why were they so easily brainwashed? A Japanese version of Hughie Green (only Brits over 60 will understand this).
"Mino Monta has that rare ability to be condescending and smarmy but at the same time charming and authoritative. Always tanned and immaculately groomed, he is so beloved and respected by middle-aged Japanese that he could sell them anything. And that is the kind of image he has - a very confident and successful salesman. He is said to be able to command ¥5 million for an hour's work."\
