OMG!!! This made me laugh out loud!

“officials surprised at lack of sense of crisis”

What crisis?! The government doesn’t believe it’s a crisis , sooooo…. Why surprised.

There is no crisis! The Japanese government have been saying this since the beginning!

There is no crisis! Only the loss of cash is a crisis in Japan! The country which values money over lives!!!

There is no crisis!!!!

I used to get all uptight about the way Japan has handled things! The vaccinations! The Olympics! But I have realised …. There is nothing ANYONE can do or say. Japan will just do what it wants !! I have come to realise why the Japanese are so indifferent to anything … they realised this years ago !!

Posted in: Tokyo to pay nightclubs to close as virus cases surge See in context

Japan!! Tokyo!? Just when I thought nothing could surprise me anymore .... bam!!! You did it again!

Pay these nightclubs to close?!! Are you having a laugh?!! Just the other day I read about how one host from Tokyo brought the corona disease from his club to one in Yokohama !! 28 people infected!!!!

Pay them to close ?!!!! Take their friggin license !!!

You are not so slow in taking small, privately owned pubs licenses when a few of their customers decided to dance. Unfortunately the police walked in at that time! But a warning!!! No!!! License gone!!

But I forgot! Most of these Nightclubs are owned by yakuza !! And Japan....

You need their money You are friggin scared of them.

Grow a backbone ! Grow a pair!!

Abe! Where the flick are you !

take charge of the country!

so much I want to say! But too tired!!!

Posted in: In Japan, pandemic brings outbreaks of bullying, ostracism See in context

Different countries, different cultures! Which is normal. But this just strengthens my opinion of the shallowness of MANY (not all) of the Japanese people. You can see it here, in the shops, in the parks, public places. STAY HOME was the ‘request’ by the Japanese Government. Maybe many have, but from my living room window I can see hundreds, everyday ignoring the ‘request’. Now bullying of front line workers and people who have gotten sick! Come on Japan where is your sense of empathy! Stop being so selfish and thinking rules don’t apply to you.

Nobody is listening to you Mr Abe!

my daughters boss said “it’s only a request. So until he says “close!” Then I’m staying open!”

while Abe is dithering around i and many people are at home with no work and no pay!!

But I will, sometime(?) have two masks!!

Get your finger out!!

Business as usual here!

Don’t address the problem ! ignore it everyone!! It will go away! Typical Japanese mentality

Posted in: Woman stabs husband after years of marital distress See in context

I can completely understand this woman. I have been in a marriage like this for years. After the first year I wanted to leave, but he told me if you leave .. I will commit suicide.. so I stayed.. Then as the kids get older and get into the education system here.. it gets harder and harder to leave... I am now waiting for my kids to finish uni and then... I am off... hopefully before anything terrible should happen. Divorce is sometimes not an option in this country. Perhaps i thought too much about my kids and their future rather than my own. It is very difficult to decide what is for the best. I decided to stay.... But that is what I decided..and I must beleive that what I did was the best way..But every married couple have their own way... so before you say.. why didnt she divorce him.. It is not a cut and dried thing for many people. Also judging from her age... divorce was just not the done thing in some families at that time.

For some people divorce is an option, for some people it is not.

It has nothing to do with who is the strongest nation or anything else.. it is just to do with 'manners'.... When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
