What's the point? Abe and the cronies are going to continue to attend Yasukuni and make belligerent claims about the war time past... The truth is Korea and China will have no peace until more sensible and reasonable leader come out of Japan's leadership.

I read an article in NY Times last year about what "Germany can teach Japan." It said "Reconciliation takes bravery as well as generosity and one must truly want it... without the real desire Japan’s path to “normality" with those who suffered from aggression will remain indefinitely blocked." Personally I think Japan has a lot to learn from Germany on how they rebuilt there relations and regained respect from Jewish People and the State of Israel.

What a bunch of hogwash? China warning Japan not to disrupt Peace while they are making the largest Military procurements in it's History as if they are getting ready for a major conflict.

BEST COMMENT SO FAR... BY: papigiulioDEC. 16, 2014 - 08:46AM JST Working on the economic outlook should be priority not his personal goals with revising the constitution. THIS. He is trying to fix something that isn't broken. Leave the friggin constitution alone and do the job you are suppose to do, fix the economy and help the people in Tohoku....but noooo this is much easier right?

Oh yeah so Korea is supposed to just let Japan mess with their most expensive procurement in History? If tables were turned would Japan let Korea maintain their most important and expensive platform? I think NOT.

Japan may have an ulterior motive pushing for this resolution but whatever the reasons maybe it's great that Nations are taking part to have their voices heard against the criminally inhumane Regime.

Would ABE sincerely apologize to Korea for aggravating the neighbors since his second term? Probably not.... this move by Japanese Security official is also to alert the Koreans that cooperation between the two Nation is urgently required regarding the issues surrounding North Korea.

Sakurai makes racist comments for the sole reason of getting attention. Any response, even negative ones give him exactly what he wants. Sakurai's plan is to recruit more people who shares his views and spread his hatred through out Japan and best way to do so is via media exposure (for free...) Although people should keep an eye on this guy... Govt officials and News Media shouldn't give this guy any time in the World.

This may be a legitimate indictment we'll have to wait and see the result of the investigation... it's true Sankei is infamously critical of Korean President often using the freedom of speech to attack and defame the President unfairly.

Public Safety Commision is an organization that monitors every socio-political groups in Japan. Her position as the Chairperon required her to know about Zaitoku-kai. Believe you me she knew who they were and she was arrogant and ignorant enough to take pictures in a public forum with them.

Posted in: Concern growing in Australia over plan to buy Japanese submarines See in context

This is a big political ploy to advertise to the World that Japan is open for business in the ARMS RACE... Because it doesn't make sense for Australians to partner up with Japan rather than UK's BAE System who is one of the top Sub builders in the World who can also build Nuclear powered ships which Japan is not able to do so at the momment plus Brits and Aussies have the UNITED KINGDOM RELATIONSHIP... Also there is French DCNS would be happy to transfer the technology and help to build Submarines domestically if the Aussies want to build it on there own. Aussies are helping Japan to get there ARMS business rolling in return for increased investments to Australia from Japan.

The money Chinese are buying their weapons with are ultimately coming from our pockets purchasing Chinese made products... If this foolishness continues China should face a trade sanctions from Japan and rest of the World that's against Chinese military buildup. Also Japanese companies must bring manufacturing back to Japan and stop depending on China for cheap labor, this is the only way to make Japan strong...
