There is nothing like this in the U.S. but it's a good idea. Direct with no confusion about the issue of feelings. Still it is too formal for the U.S.

I'm glad to see Jay-Z doing something about Hollywood whitewashing to Old West. 25% of all Cowboys were Black. The real Lone Ranger Bill Bass was Black the Buffalo Soldiers who fought most of the Indian Wars in the Southwest were Black. I know it's just entertainment but it's still good to see people who look like me represented.

There is no such thing as CRT or critical race theory. Republican are fighting factual teaching U.S. history because it is embarrassing to some people. It is no difference than if Japan would no teach about World War II because they were embarrassed about some of the things they did.

Racism? Islamophobia? Sexism? Homophobia? Calling for assassinations? Carrying out an insurrection? Harassing the victims of school shootings? Posting animated videos of their fellow Congresspeople being murdered?

All of these things are what the three Republicans shown at the bottom of the article have been censured for along with other. Everything you are accusing Democrats of Republican legislators are on record saying and doing.

In  2012 Republican convention, Sen. Lindsey Graham said the quiet parts out loud:

“The demographics race we’re losing badly … [Republicans are] not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term.”

Trump has taught the Republicans that they do not need to write legislation or come up workable plans. All Republican need to do is get people angry at each other. That is all Republican do now and the really sick thing is the leadership knows they cannot run the country this way. However they can get elected and that is all Republicans care about. The U.S. is screwed.

Posted in: Japan to pay more for hosting U.S. military forces See in context

The cost to keep U.S. forces in Japan was $33.5 billion from 2016-2019, of which the U.S. paid $20.9 billion and Japan paid $12.6 billion, the U.S. Government Accounting Office found. Since so many Japanese want the U.S. gone the U.S. could save that $20.9 Billion and just let a Carrier Task Force take the place of the U.S. bases. No where near the same level of protection but other than China, Russia and North Korea what does Japan have to worry about
