Creative juices were overflowing when they renamed the one with Jeff Daniels and his daughter chasing migrating fowl on an ultralight plane.

Fly Away Home--way too wordy. Boiled down to generic Goose.

Puerto Rican OLR served 36 years in Leavenworth, the longest of any FALN member.

How much time did Roger Stone do again? My theory is Trump didn't want Stone to suffer the humiliation of having other prisoners mocking his Richard Nixon back tattoo.

One avid Trump fanboy wants us to believe that a negative number of cases of COVID is possible. That means less than zero. Lets do math says the charlatan.

Negatory on that nonsense.

The comments about Chauvin and Floyd having some prior beef are just speculatory based on them both having part time security gigs at the same Latin nightclub. Chauvin had much more work history at the place though, and even the club manager told the media Chauvin often became too aggressive with black customers.

Watched a random surf doc about Puerto Escondido during lockdown. The bonus features profiled the director riding with a camera. One chilling still photo showed a 2 or 3 meter shark sitting midway up a cresting wave right next to the director. I wonder if he made any other surf movies after that?

@Asiaman7--N.O. was home schooled in Florida as a way to maximize tennis practice time I believe. A bit like Ichiro being obsessively trained in batting by his father for years. Obviously brought world beating results for them both, so in a fame/monetary sense it was the right upbringing.

Posted in: Bob Dylan announces first album of new music since 2012 See in context

Dylan and Vietnam are not as closely linked as a lot of other 60s singers.

In the peak Vietnam War years, Dylan was a non-touring recording artist focused on raising a family. There is nothing about the war in 1969s mellow country album Nashville Skyline for example. He had survived a motorcycle accident and some obsessed fans were bugging him, so the family moved around NY, CA, Mexico, even back home to MN for the recording of Blood on the Tracks. By the late 1970s, Bob and Sara had divorced, precipitating his early 1980s three albums of strident religious songs, before returning to topical/secular songwriting.

If Mnuchin knew more about the US economy, he would praise Axl for the way he kept generations of carny workers busy cueing up Sweet Child O Mine on the Tilt O Whirl tape deck.

Even if Axl has done squat for the motherland Liberia, it was the prevailing attitude of their scene. Most hair metal musicians were MIA in that We Are the World telethon too.

I predict a rewrite of their song Get In the Ring. The outdated stuff about Spin Magazine/Bob Guccione gets replaced by a list of Trump admin turdblossoms.

On the other hand, maybe Mnuchin really is a superfan and is voicing a complaint about later duds like Chinese Democracy? Condi Rice loves Led Zeppelin so you never know.

When I glanced at their locations, I was interested that half of them are in Sakai city with their own mayor and an independent streak: not wanting to merge into Osaka-to as proposed by Isshin no kai etc.

Also, an article about pachinko the parlor workers union would be interesting. The news said their union has to approve new regs such as stopping customers from outside the area, I guess because it could lead to abuse of the staff.

Some stories have more sides than Rashomon. This one has:

The adults back in the provinces Their kids who fled The consultation bus people The contracted hotel owners

Nearby in the urban forest lurk sex biz villains. Add the police for another role/view. Anyone else connected to this tale?

What about runaway couples who eloped to be free from their overbearing parents? Should they suffer the indignity of segregated cubicles next to the uroncha and soft cream dispensers, with only tattered manga for a pillow? Charity hotel rooms with the musk of foreign backpacker wafting about?

Just being silly.

@the avenger--not sure why you put that part in bold. It just emphasizes that you are using the wrong terms. Respirator is another word for mask. Ventilators are the expensive intubation machines. Keeping someone on one for weeks leads to a high bill, that is true but not unknown information.
