the IOC always gets what they want and cities left holding the bag. Always gifts plus the luxury suite for Bach during his stay at almost $50 USD a night.

Still no real answer for us local residents who have to travel overseas for business as do we have to stay home for 3 days or still 14 days as never can get an answer. If still 14 days that's cruel to us taxpayers who still have to g back to work to support the family and cannot stay home that long. Maybe we should all be part of the Olympics and get a pass.

Posted in: Tokyo opens oxygen station; asks all hospitals to accept more COVID patients See in context

Really smart to have someone with Covid at home who needs some O2 to jump on a train travel to busy Shibuya sit in a cubical to get oxygen then go home again. How you going to do contact tracing of the 1,000's who will be exposed as totally idiotic.

Plus lets sent 130k kids to the Olympics for free and get exposed while schools in other countries are closed as kids are carriers.

But the PM is doing such a great job he wants to get reelected.

Total keystone cops!

What happened to the 3 day rule of arriving before the event then leave 5 days after? This is the first of many not to follow as another PR lie from all parties. They should have not been let into immigration if this is the rule.

Posted in: IOC offers medical help for Tokyo Olympics See in context

The government has a one sided contract to cancel which hey should and see if the IOC sues as no other country other then China would ever host again. No-one wants the costs anymore as see in the Winter games having no bids.

If games go on just not let them in country pass immigration as hold the games with the Japan Team and let them win all the medals as that would make for a reverting international TV audience f the games must go on. The IOC gets its TV money then.

Posted in: Tokyo Olympic organizers defend request for 500 nurses as virus spikes See in context

They just announced that they will find a site to do 10,000 people a day to get vaccine why not get 500 nurses use the Olympic venues to give vaccines and make that a gold medal as tell the IOC to go to China for the winter games only.
