I'm no expert but I think Obama is trying to cut spending. He is trying to get us out of some very costly wars in the Middle East and reign in the bloated defense budget spending. These may not be the type of cuts that many conservatives want to see but it seems be a solid way to reduce government spending without cutting a lot programs that many Americans, conservative and liberal alike, depend on.
I also agree that there needs to be some serious growth in order to get the economy back on track, but not the kind of growth that allows CEO's take home million dollar bonuses while their workers get replaced by outsourcing and machines. We need funding for innovative entrepreneurs in fast growing industries like tech and green industries.
