Both papers are historically anti base. If these papers are advocating both sides I beg to differ. All these remarks are supporting these bias papers.

This small percentage of media controlling politicians are seeking more money for their pockets here on Okinawa. Governor Onaga and his cohorts are greedy. If an American does anything wrong the media seek to exploit it. I've lived on Okinawa for over 35 years and the Onaga's party could have moved Futenma years ago.

Mostly government workers forced to attend. Others are paid to attend ¥5,000 to ¥10,000. There's not much creditability with this group.

But the current governers political party is trying to squeeze more money from the National government which has now proven unsuccesfull. The same type of construction is going on with the new runway being built in Naha. You have non islanders and paid demonstrators protesting against the National government. They harrass men, women and children that shows them their no good anyways. The only reason this is given worldwide attention is because the media is supported by anti base sympathizers.

The current Okinawa government sympathizes with the communist party and doesn't represent the entrie island.

Its required to learn a foreign language in American schools and I would say 80% of all students wonder why we learn French and Spanish when they will never speak it.
