@Kurobune or maybe Kurofune meaning black ship or the great race horse. Redundant? Seriously? Every single one of your posts here is redundant. They begin and end in redundancy.

Did you get up at 2am to watch the match on Gaora Sports? If you did you wouldn't say it was a great match.

@smith His knee was hurting and later he reported that he had wrist problems. I think he decided to play knowing he would probably lose as to not disappoint the fans that showed up to watch. He should have retired or just given Fog a walk over. His next planned tournament will be Barcelona and then Monte Carlo. Nishikori was gracious in defeat and said he was beaten by a better player. Fognini is not tall. I predict Nishikori doing just enough this year to make it to the tour finals.

I regret getting up to watch Nishikori. That was a very disappointing performance. Nishikori apparently hurt his knee in the Verdasco match and basically looked like he wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. Very frustrating to watch. I doubt we'll see Nishikori again until Monte Carlo.

At the risk of not sounding too condescending, what you don't seem to realize is that evidence supports the effectiveness of surgical masks in reducing the risk of infection. This may be why surgical teams wear them while performing operations.

@fxgai

That's right. I had forgotten that Nishikori was a finalist last year. He has had a very good tournament and if he should lose in the quarters he'll still walk away with $146,000 and change.

Mr. Noidall I'll try to explain why Japanese simply don't cover their mouths when they hack. Touching your mouth, eyes, and putting your fingers to your face is a welcome mat for viruses to enter your system. In fact they are the main ways viruses enter your system. Wearing a mask prevents the urge to cover your mouth when you hack and touching your face.

You know how this works. When it comes to Trump liberals are too overly distressed by ideas that run contrary to their views to have a rational discussion.

It was around but only started to really offend people about 15 years ago. It can be annoying but those that are really offended are prone to taking offense at every thing. Not being very resilient and living in a homogeneous counrtry with 99% of the people with the same ethnic background may be the reason. These days people seem to be overly emotionally vulurable to effectively cope with these kinds of things.

"the spread of values of liberal democracies and toward reciprocity: the principle that all countries, through integration and competition share a common space to grow together"

This US has always been in the drivers seat of this process and it hasn't been fair reciprocity. Other countries have taken advantage of US generosity and not returned the favor. Liberal democracies have grown but not "together" with the US.

America first means fair trade and no more handouts to illegal immigrants. It means putting priority on fixing America's problems at home first. I agree with @karlrb and this is just another left wing liberal rant. Tried to give @karlrb a thumbs up but with no surprise it doesn't register on JT.

The reason for no women is the same reason fitness gym "Curves" does not allow men. It is a private social club and the members paying dues have a right to decide. I hope the club doesn't cave to the IOC.

This is not a problem anywhere. There are no dots to connect. This is a private social club with a right to choose its membership. The olympics doesn't have to choose this club. Funny but I don't hear feminists rant about the social club for women only called "Curves" or any of the many other women only social clubs. Curves exclude men, as they should, since they are a private social club. Do feminists really not understand the difference between public and private institiutions?
