Uniqlo clothing is all crap! Don't wash it or it falls apart!

We're all brainwashed and you're the only beacon of truth. Did they throw in a tin foil hat with those jumpers?

I have a some Uniqlo shirts and pants as do some of my coworkers. None of mine show any real age or fading after more than a year. As for my coworkers, they are American and bought the clothing on a whim in New York but they rave about the quality. Proper care and washing helps clothing last a long time.

not really hate them, but feel sorry for them. Look what they are doing unto themselves, their children and families. Read Crime section of JT for the past two days. What is happening to their moral standards. i think someone should start some fashion thing with some holy writings for name sake atleast. And all Js would follow that.

The Japanese majority does not approve of this. The people you read about in these articles are criminals, not an appropriate representation for an entire nation.

Yes, and I like the way how they put on a loving parent facade and go around doing senseless things.

Because a criminal has never tried to justify their crimes, right? Drop the generalizations about an entire country of people because if you ever went on a world tour yourself, you'd see the same sad situations happening in countless nations.

Hang him first than ask questions.

This must be sarcasm because that's not how things are done in a modern society.

All three should be charged and locked up for a while.

Arresting the victim of the crime, how does that help? That's like getting robbed then thrown in jail for carrying a wallet.

I hope this is enough to convict this evil crime doer! Death penalty!! Yes! Let him hang high and dry/wet what ever, just do it Hatoyama san!

Wow, not defending whoever commited the crimes but the bloodlust really started early in these comments.

Ultrashaman, give it a rest. You've already lost the health argument, so I'll address your moral equivocation.

You moved your arguement to morals by mentioning life priorities and values, I simply addressed it. I did not discuss the health issue further as my post was already a wall of text. Arguing more would be pointless because it's doubtful you would change your position no matter how convincing an arguement so agreeing to disagree is the only real resolution I can see.

The overall point is, being a porn-star does not necessitate respect, in fact it demonstrably represents a variety of not only poor decision-making skills, but also questionable values, and life priorities. To put it plainly, the woman had sex with dozens, if not hundreds of men she did not even know, merely for the vain pursuit of fame. And she wants respect for this?

I think they all deserve respect because they are fellow human beings. No industry necessitates respect as respect is not given, it is earned. What you deem as poor decision making skills have actually allowed numerous actors to succeed financially and support themselves.

Values are subjective. Life priorities differ from person to person, your's are not anymore important than someone who found a way to have their cake and eat it too -- doing what they enjoy and getting paid to do it.

Sure, actors enjoy fame but that is not likely the major cause for them to start working in adult videos. Actors often discuss how much they enjoy the act of sex. There are other ways to get famous, not to mention much easier. Look how easy it is to become an internet meme with a humerous youtube video.

What is truely laughably pathetic is someone thinking they are so much better than an adult actor even though they likely enjoy some sort of adult entertainment. Get off your pedastal and learn that you're part of the human family that all humans are part of.

In the most popular films and videos the actors don't wear condoms. These films are managed by gangsters, not medical professionals and the girls are recruited for their looks, not their blood samples.

You do realize that the entire porn industry isn't run by gangsters, right? Nana Natsume's studio was the company promoting STD awareness in Japan (that means that since she is argueably the most famous porn actor in Japan, her movies are some of the most popular that you refered to) so I find it hard to believe a company would fund such a campaign and not test its actors or request a physical from a physician. A properly screen actor using other forms of birth control is as safe as two people in a committed relationship. American porn actors often do not wear condoms but there has not been any real wide-spread STD outbreak among them since AIDs first hit so it's obvious their preventive measures are working. Anyways, not all porn stars are attractive but of course they choose the best of the best when it comes to casting, that doesn't mean they accept people with STDs. Look at how regulated the American porn industry is and yet, they have plenty of attractive people. With the relatively small percentage of the Japanese population suffering from STDs, it's easier to find clean actors.

Porn stars should be the best promotors of STD awareness. How you work in that business and avoid getting dreadfully ill (mentally and physically, I would guess) is amazing.

There was something with Japanese pornstars promoting condom use in the general population a while back. About the diseases associated with the business, actors are medically tested.

The whole thing is just a rally-call for the desperate right-wingers in Japan attempting to salvage something from the upcoming election, along the lines of "let's promote anti-Kita Chosen hysteria to whip the masses into a frenzy of fear, and they might forget our corruption and mismanagement of the economy".

Because there has never been a threat made by North Korea towards Japan nor have there ever been a missle launched over Japan. Is it impossible for people to be scared not from racism, but because they care about their home?

(it seems more than likely, Japanese like to prey on smaller and defenseless people, particularly women and children)

It's not Japanese that target those people, it's criminals of all societies that target them.

Unreal. Hard to believe the three acquaintances weren't able to subdue this guy. Makes you wonder how hard they really tried...

It was after a drinking session. Pretty hard to stop a guy who can't feel pain, especially when you're having a hard enough time standing up.

I believe this is the test (now) Vice President Biden mentioned before taking office. Everyone remember him saying, "Within 6 months of taking office some country would test Barak Obama" Well.. they put off this test, hoping Obama would be the one in power when it was launched. Why would they do that.. some might ask.. Because they don't think Obama has the balls to stop them. They knew Grorge Bush Jr. would have gave the order to shoot it down (and rightly so)

Don't start the whole which-president-is-better arguement in this article.

Posted in: Boycott of violent Japanese video game urged in U.S. See in context

These boycotts are going to result in more people playing this game than if they had ignored it. There were like 2 copies at Amazon. Now the thing is going to be on the torrent sites and will be a cult hit with thousands of man-boys with low self-esteem getting their jollies fantasizing about raping women who in real life could probably kick their asses.

Good point! Boycotting a game because it's too violent never really works, examples are the Grand Theft Auto series and even the unreleased Thrill Kill which thanks to outcry has become a sought after beta version bootleg on the internet. Don't take this as defending the subject matter of the game but making a big stink about something often has the reverse effect. The game developer will likely ignore this and go about business. They are most likely not loosing any sales other than a couple weirdos looking for a shocking game, not including the vast majority which would just download it sooner than buy it.

Posted in: Boycott of violent Japanese video game urged in U.S. See in context

The company’s website says its products are not available for sale outside of Japan.

Well, that says a lot about Japan!

That it is a country home to a company that does not officially export the game?
