I guess nobody comes from western countries to teach english anymore. As the yen is akin to the zimbabwe dollar, and “salaries” are as low as 150,000 yen a month, well you would have to be insane, to come to Japan,

These old gits say the same thing everytime. It is meaningless and has no power whatsoever.

Nobody keeps their funds in yen, apart from that needed for everyday needs. We all invest in US Dollars, Swiss Francs and Gold. Who would keep money in the zimbabwe dollar or the same thing, the yen. Your are just throwing your money away. The yen is a useless pathetic currency and by year’s end 175 to the dollar is being forecast where I work.

The Yen is collapsing even further against the US Dollar now. Now at 153!

How pathetic all this is, prices will just continue to shoot up. True inflation in Japan is around 12% and there’s no end in sight.

Who cares? Be 50,000, be 100,000. It is totally meaningless to the real economy and people’s struggling lives with huge price rises and stagnant wages.

The stock market is nothing but a rich man’s gambling club, like blackjack or roulette, backed by chinese money. The day will come soon when this particular bubble bursts, as they always do.

Really amazing! This is a great and wonderful time for all in Japan making huge amounts of money on the soaring stock market and our investments in Us Dollars and Swiss Francs! Congratulations everyone!

Just like the bubble economy of 25 years ago, there will be a bloodbath when this particular bubble bursts. And it will like they all do.

The return of the greatest President of all time Donald Trump to rescue our country. And biden in prison for bribe taking from China, Ukraine and Romania and for letting into the country over 15 million illegals.

But none of this applies to the English teaching in Japan does it). English teachers in Japan don’t give a jot about salaries, they don’t give a damn about the collapsing yen, they are just so thrilled to be in Japan.

But other groups of foreigners do care about money and the pathetic yen. With so many choices of countries, they will give Japan a miss.

Posted in: UK unveils tough new rules designed to cut immigrant numbers See in context

There is no point in trying to cut down on legal immigration when anyone who wants to, is simply allowed to enter the country illegally and be offered everything free. Just like the US now.

Posted in: UK unveils tough new rules designed to cut immigrant numbers See in context

All you have to do is come over to the UK from France on a boat or dingy, as thousands do every week. You are allowed into the country and given everything you need, money, nice hotel room, free medical and dental care, free new iphone etc. You don't have to bother anymore with minimum income levels etc. Just do what hundreds of thousands of people have done and will be doing for ever.....

Posted in: Premier League's slow slide into video review chaos far removed from FIFA vision for VAR in 2016 See in context

Scrap VAR, it is destroying the game. The excitement is lost when fans are waiting around for some minutes for the verdict. Let referees only decide on situations during a game as it used to be in the past. Sure referees are human and may make errors but these things tend to balance out over the course of a season.

At least in the Championship (league 2), where my team plays, there is no VAR and games flow nicely.

The only technology worth its salt is the goal line technology which determines whether or not the whole ball crossed the line.

200 yen to the Dollar? It's inevitable.

Everybody I know has for years kept all funds in US Dollars, Swiss Francs and Gold. Nobody, absolutely nobody keeps anything in the poison basket case yen, apart from everyday needs.

The Yen is now trading at 149 to the Dollar. Once it successfully breaches the psychologically important 150 level, just watch it sink. Everybody should keep all their funds in a US Dollar account or some foreign exchange account if they have any interest in their financial health.

I don't know anyone who holds the poison yen apart from what is needed for everyday living. We have all been investing in Swiss Francs and Dollars for a long time.

You don’t lose your pension or part of it if you are working.

We need old people over 65, if possible, to be working and paying taxes. But I heard that if an old person over 65 continues working, part or all of their pension, which they have contributed to all their working lives, is taken away. Not exactly motivating old people to work is it?
