This is so inaccurate article. The chair man didn't criticize her at all, in fact, it's opposite. He cared about her so much because she's been under pressure being expected winning the gold medal. He used a Japanese word meaning "flip over" or "turn over" if in English. But what he actually meant is the result of Team competition new from this Olympics. He thought Japan might have a chance to get a medal at least Bronze, but since Japan doesn't have any medalists in Ice Dance/Pair, it turned out to be nothing for Japan at Team competition. This "turn out" was misunderstood because a Japanese or Korean (there are many Korean immigrants) journalist was stupid enough to misunderstand him. So he didn't mean Mao's failure of triple axle. But this stupid journalist from online news in Japan took every opportunity to bash a famous politician just because he hates LDP, that's all.
