Wow, this was definitely the worst one I've ever been through. What a terrible experience. I thank God that I survived unscathed.

Got to watch it Tuesday evening. Just fantastic!

One other major thing just came to my mind. My husband, constatly forgets things like keys, mobile or even his wallet! One time, he left his wallet at a grocery store counter where you bag things. By the time he realized it, the store was closed! It was a miracle that the next day someone actually had turned in his wallet with absolutely nothing missing. I told my husband, who by the way is Japanese, if you ever forget your wallet in the U.S. you might as well kiss it goodbye forever. You'd think he'd learn but he never does. Another time he discovered that he left his wallet at home only after being parked at a pay-parking place for quite some time. Of course he was helped out of the situation by a friend. Maybe if people would stop doing him favors, he'd catch on and learn.

He leaves the lights on or the water faucet dripping. Forgets to close doors when the heat or AC is running. It's so wasteful and drives me nuts! Hopefully one of these days, he'll catch on and start being more responsible.

Just got the book as well and agree that it would have been better if it were hardcover. Definitely one of those books that I'll hold on to for the rest of my life. I've climbed Fuji 3 times and have such a respect it.

Totally agree with Whiskeysour about "Eat, Pray & Love". I could not sympathize with the main character at all. She was just so selfish. I knew the movie was cr@p when she left her husband to fulfill her own selfish needs. One of the longest, most boring movies I've ever watched.

Zenny11 If you been in the military, it is possible that you already showered with a gay person(you just didn't know about it) and been checked out. So where is the biggie? I'm sure there's a possibility and it really isn't that big of a deal for me but I just wonder what will happen when the first person who cries they've been sexually assaulted in the dorms? I'm sure the chances are slim but it could happen.

I too worked alongside gay people while I served in the military and got along fine. I never felt uncomfortable. In fact one of my best friends in the the military was gay. Of course, he had to keep quiet about it with the "don't ask, don't tell" policy and did eventually get booted out because he came out. The stress of holding it in was too much unfortunately.

Were you in the military? Until you've lived and breathed it then you can discuss it.

So what you're saying then is guys and girls can dorm together because it wouldn't be a distraction. None at all? You're forgetting everybody is different and reacts differently to different situations. What doesn't stress one person out may make someone else uncomfortable.

Like I said, I don't have a problem with gays in the military. I just wonder how they'll address the living situation. That's it.

That's not the point.

I don't have problem with it but just wonder how the living situations will be in the dormitories. Obviously, in basic and other types of training, military members are all living and showering together. Men & women are in separate dorms. How are they going to address this? Being ex-military myself, I wouldn't have wanted to deal with knowing someone might be checking me out everytime I undressed. The training was tough enough to deal without that.

I heard Christmas music at my local grocery store here in Japan in September. Talk about ridiculous!
