Three workers dead at a crumbled nuclear power plant and they are not related to radiation. I wonder what odds the bookmakers would give on that!

The country still has some of the highest standards for food safety.

@zichi please enlighten us about these high standards for food safety because they have certainly been thrown out the window during this disaster if there were any.

@smithinjapan Don't straw man me like that. I said nothing of Japan in WW2 or of any disputed islands. I was pointing out a virtue that is morally correct.

Posted in: Japan says Russian military conducting drills near its airspace See in context

The row over the Kurils, which Soviet troops seized in the closing days of World War II in 1945, has prevented the two countries from signing of a post-World War II peace treaty.

Take what someone gives you, but leave what is not yours.

Why do so many Japanese women take photos of their food at restaurants and post it on Facebook or their blogs?

Because they are obsesses by food. They live to eat as opposed to eat to live, and their mentally is that of a spoiled child. If you have a GF like this get her to change her ways immediately, if she doesn't then dump her quick sharp...

Posted in: Rice shipped from Fukushima Prefecture See in context

All this after an article which says the rice is safe!

If you believe everything you read, don't read.

Why can't you just accept some hopeful good news for the people of Fukushima?

Accepting rice grown in a prefecture that has had a tonne of radiation fall on it is like accepting fraud. Nothing hopeful in that at all.
