I never seen so many aftershocks being reported. I thought they were repeating the same message, until I saw the revision of the new time. It's very scary in Western part of Japan. I'm worried about Mt. Aso near Kumamoto. It's an active volcano, and I have many friends in that region.

Scoobydoo, who drive cars to drop-off and pick-up their kids from daycare. Most times I see the mothers on mamachari, and those bicycles doesn't make much noise or traffic.

I was also there yesterday enjoying a nice boat ride in the moat, and last night was the last evening of their Illumination event. It was the best day to be there, because it was the only clear day to enjoy the Sakura. Here are the videos I made.

Posted in: 'Batman v Superman' signals a new dawn for DC Comics See in context

I saw it opening day, and overall it was OK, not the worst movie out there. But thanks to Superman and Batman for showing up in front of the Toho Cinemas in Kabukicho. If you didn't see it, they put on a nice street performance. Personally, I think it just had too many stories lines from two Epic story arcs from comics. Frank Miller's "Dark Knight Returns", and the other one I can't mention because it will be a big spoiler. I've read that the movie was originally 3 hours long, and they trimmed it down. The editing left big holes in the film, and they failed to explain some missing elements in the theatrical release. I'll wait to judge after I see the full version on DVD.

Posted in: Car chased by police crashes into taxi, killing cabbie See in context

Trying to outrun the police inside Tokyo is a horrible idea. The streets are too small, traffic is at a crawl, and traffic lights at every small intersection. That was a terrible accident caught on video. The taxi got T-boned at the intersection into other cars, and he didn't see that coming at all. It was such an unnecessary tragedy. RIP.

Posted in: Zebra runs amok on Aichi golf course; dies in lake See in context

I saw it this morning LIVE on TV. At first I thought it was hilarious, because they used a helicopter to pursue him on the golf course, and they had a lot of trouble trying to capture him on such a big open space. Eventually a vet got close enough to use a blow dart tranquilizer. If I am not mistaken, I think he shot him twice (once in separate locations). Then the men surrounded him for the capture, but the poor creature panicked and jumped into the pond. He swam for a short distance, but the drugs kicked in, and you can see his body to shaking very rapidly from fear. He eventually lost consciousness, and they pulled him out. They administered CPR at the scene, but it was too late. RIP poor little guy.

I actually tried it last week, and it tastes pretty good when the fries are very hot. You add the chocolate yourself with the small packets provided (so you can control the sugar level). It's a not new flavor here in Japan because Calbee has been selling chocolate on potato chips for years.
