If we do a comparative generational analysis of planes and Nuclear power plants.

Wright brothers (first flying plane) - Experimental Nuclear power plants (1950s-60s) Gen 1

Bi-planes (radial engine) - Commerical Nuclear power plants (1960s-1990s) Gen 2

Jet aircraft - Advanced Light water Commerical Reactors (1990s-2010) Gen 3

Space aeronautics - Gen IV reactors (HTR-PM Chinese Gen IV test bed reactor: September 12 2021 at 9:35 AM the first reactor went critical marking the first criticality of 4th generation nuclear)

Three mile, Chenobyl, and Fukushima - Gen 2 designs.

Would you fly on a decades old Bi plane or a brand new Jet aircraft? Even better designed with Space aeronautics.

Gen 4 nuclear reactors will be utilizing passive safety protocols. Meaning, no power, no coolent? The reactor seals itself off, and shuts down automatically without any human aid or power requirement. I.e. Molten salt or sodium-cooled fast reactors (sodium fuel automatically expands to slow fission reaction, shutting it off).

When people advocate for nuclear power, no one wants a Gen 2 plant.. more like a upped Gen 3.

Those who advocate against nuclear power, are doing what Thomas Edison did to Tesla. He advocated for DC power, not AC. Meaning Power planets located in the middle of dense population centers. Thanks to Tesla, we don't live in such a reality. No one remembers Tesla though. Technology advances, the argument and its narrative of nuclear power been unsafe is over, in light of the current technology.

Power prices in Europe are rising above and beyond expectation. Power companies in the UK are going bust left and center.

Don't preach environmentalist ideals, while living a lifestyle that compels the destruction of this planet.

Yep its a pipe dream.

Nuclear fusion reactor technology, specifically the Tokamak varient has been tested to be viable. The current ITER program is a scaled up (industrial) version that will be able to produce more output than the input, which was the problem with all other tokamak varients before.

1988 project begins

2007 ground is broken

2025 power on.

Another decade after that, perhaps, commerical power would be viable.

But its a tad too late.

True. Like unemployment calcuations been different in many countries, the calculation of the pay gap done by the ministery and by an outside foreign organisation using the same standard across the world, would have different calculations.  It nonetheless is a median calcuation for example; the GPG is derived as the difference between women's and men's average weekly full-time equivalent earnings, expressed as a percentage of men's earnings - in Australia.

Yes, you are right. The factors that determine the differences in pay, may well go beyond the literal sense of the word, gender.

However, the difference in pay can be caused by:

Occupational segregation (men in higher paid industries and women in lower paid industries)

Vertical segregation (fewer women in senior positions, thus better paying positions)

ineffective equal pay legislation (measures that promote equal opportunity for women in the workplace)

Womens overall paid working hours (The company may reduce pay, in a review process that may be discriminatory, e.g. she has a family, taking too much leave to look after kids.)

Tha fact remains in a 共働き world, where both sexes must contribute more to the economy, reducing gender-gap pay helps everyone long term - e.g. the pension scheme.

Work contracts are are supposed to be genderless. In this case scenario the 24.5% reduced pay, is defined to be equal work within the contract.

The elephant in the room I suppose is that labor laws arnt enforced, or rather arent treated as law, if they counteract company culture and work culture. So companies will do as they please.

So feminism and female representation in a liberal democracy is considered by western commentators on this page, to be bad and should never be emulated.

What alternatives are there? A male dominated mindset in governance, alludes only to heteropaternalism, that stifles change that is needed to reach a balanced society.

If your daughter, mother, aunt got payed 24.5% less than their male counterpart, you would probably say, meh thats life.

Tell that to the single parents. 1 in 6 children in this country go hungry.

Is there a correlation between decreased wage gap and female representation in parliament?

Country rep% / wage gap%

Denmark 40% / 4.9%

USA 25% / 7%

Australia 31% / 14.2%

Posted in: What is the difference between patriotism and nationalism? See in context

Nationalism, ideology based on the premise that the individual’s loyalty and devotion to the nation-state surpass other individual or group interests.

Patriotism, feeling of attachment and commitment to a country, nation, or political community. Patriotism (love of country) and nationalism (loyalty to one’s nation) are often taken to be synonymous, yet patriotism has its origins some 2,000 years prior to the rise of nationalism in the 19th century.

Above: Brittanica

Both are social constructs, derived from political needs to create a common ideological power base, they both exist to inform, to judge and assert authority upon the masses. Between those who are, and not patriotic or nationalistic... a division.

We drink the same water, eat from the same earth, breath the same air, walk beneath the same blue sky, dream under the same starry night, no matter the color of our skin, heritage, politics, wealth, religion, or biases, we are one and the same; human.
