It s just a tradeoff between
1) manpower + land vs
2) electricity & cost of capital
In most countries 1) is much cheaper
Once we get very cheap electricity like fusion and advanced automation with AI, vertical farming will be much more attractive.

A contract is a contract.
He can switch to a Family Mart or Lawson franchise if he doesn't want to open 24/24.
Suing a big company is hopeless.

A western restaurant enjoying this kind of success would just increase the price until supply and demand meet.

Smart move from Renault. Now Renault-FCA is bigger than Nissan in revenue and sales so Nissan's argument of an imbalance in the alliance doesn't hold anymore.
Renault is basically telling Nissan, if you don't want us, we have other options.
Also very importantly, messing with Renault-FCA would now means messing with the US&Europe and not just with Europe so Japan Inc should think twice about it now.

Poor guy, Tokyo Metro finally decided to install barriers for the Olympic games. Some Ginza line platforms are really dangerous when they are crowded, you barely have 1m between the wall and the rails. To their credit, it must be logistically quite complicated to install such barriers without disrputing traffic when you can only work at night between 1AM and 5AM.
