There's always a spike in youth suicides after the summer break.
Similar to the suicides after golden week.
School kids and salarymen alike are thrown back into the ridiculous amount of pressure after a long(ish) break.

All too often in Japan... why couldn't she have just killed herself? Selfish witch

Posted in: Advanced countries spent decades advancing gender equality, but Japan has not caught up with them at all. I’ve seen many female doctors harassed at the workplace after getting pregnant and giving birth. It is also strange that male doctors are forced to work for long hours. See in context
Make doctors are preferred in every country. I don't think its got anything to do with harassment or having a baby and quitting work. It's the trust and skill level of the physician. Make doctors are preferred in this respect so stop playing victim

Another one? Why is the issue of unstable parents ignored in this country?

How is sharing a bath with other people while on your period ok? Doesn't matter what country you come from it's a disgusting act, selfish too if you expect people to sit in a bath of your menstrual fluid.

Yeah that's right, J police are pathetic. Overzealous for all he wrong things and lazy for all the things that matter.
On the other hand if this kid had nothing to hide why did he bolt?

Not a murderer because he's too young? But he was old enough to think he could be a parent?
Intelligence tests for all young couples who want children should be mandatory

Won't happen. Japan doesn't listen to international opinion or advice. It listens to money it seems.

He's going to get passed around like a Christmas Ham in an American. 7 1/2 years of that.... he deserves every second of it.
This is a good lesson in justice for Japan. Had he been tried in his native country he would've gotten a suspended sentance, at best. American courts know how to serve justice.

It's news like this that makes me glad Japan has the death penalty. Subhuman filth like this are the reason I support the death penalty.

When will Japan wake up and do something more proactive about this issue?
the punishments for abusers are nowhere near severe enough. They know their countries impotent courts won't deal out any lasting punishments. Sentence a few to life in prison or better yet the death penalty as a deterrent. It seems being a good parent for the sake of your kids isn't motivation enough for these monsters. It's about time an example was made

Well isn't she lucky that where she's off to money won't matter.

the problem is that women here lack the strength of will and confidence to action any sort of change to their situation. Only they can change things themselves. Complaining gets you nowhere

Everyday we read something like this? What's wrong with these people?

Imprisonment and castration, then be electronically monitored for the rest of his life. That's the only way to really send a message to these creeps

Animal welfare isn't at the top of Japan's priority list. A visit to any zoo or "animal cafe" will prove that.

That was quick.
Its more confusingly hideous than controversial. Either way, tear it down.

The cinemas here aren't bad. Still have no idea why everyone likes to sit through ten minutes of credits at the end though...

Good, lets hope they get taken to the cleaners over this. Death penalty is best for this level of heinous negligence but one step at a time

Because like most other "variety" shows on Japanese tv, the content is nauseatingly tedious. They could replay last years one and no one would know the difference

Japan has by far been the most polite and quickest immigration experience. Very efficient, no drama.
australia is the worst in my opinion.

Love the masks. Why bother when your names and countless photos of you are already over national TV? Their careers are over

The elderly driver should never have been behind the wheel. Absolutely ridiculous. So dangerous in Japanese roads with unfit drivers everywhere. It's lucky the innocent passengers in the other car weren't killed

It's either dementia or there's a part of the story we're not being told. Either way, this is a SoraNews article so it's to be taken with a grain of salt
